Chairman and CEO, San Miguel Corporation
Founding Chairman, MARHO
Cordial greetings to the Metropolitan Association of Race Horse Owners, Inc. (MARHO) as
you hold the 2010 MARHO Cup.
The MARHO Cup, now on its 15th year, has always been sponsored by San Miguel Corporation
ever since its inception. Aptly renamed as the San Miguel Beer-MARHO Cup, it will also have two
of the six championship races named after San Miguel as proof of this enduring partnership.
MARHO’s staging of the event through the years, with SMC’s support, has contributed much
to the improvement of the sport in terms of performance and track times as the generous prize
money gives incentives to horseowners and breeders to acquire quality bloodstock.
May you continue revitalizing the horse racing and breeding industry by giving annual awards
and recognition to champion horses, jockeys and trainers.
Best wishes to the directors and members of MARHO for another successful racing festival!

Message
The 15th edition of the MARHO Breeders’ Cup on November 23-28, 2010 is a much anticipated
event this year, coming as it does amidst challenging times for most sectors in general, and the
horseracing industry, in particular. Indeed, through all the peaks and troughs of the economic
backdrop for horseracing over the years, the MARHO Breeders’ Cup serves as a testament to the
enduring spirit of the sport of kings in this country.
As the host club of the MARHO Breeders’ Cup, the Philippine Racing Club, Incorporated is
heartened by this partnership with the organization that has seen fit to honor locally-bred and
home-grown equine talents of the tracks. Horse breeding in the country continues to flourish and
to produce new track stars owing mainly to the passion of Filipino horse owners and breeders for
the sport. MARHO is to be commended for continuing this tradition of honoring the best locally-
bred horses thereby also sustaining interest in horse breeding in the country.
We salute MARHO for its unwavering commitment to the horseracing industry and we,
together with the bayang karerista look forward to the excitement of competitive races among
the best during this year’s Breeders Cup festival.

Message
In behalf of the Officers and Members of PHILTOBO, we would like to congratulate MARHO on
the running of its 2010 MARHO Breeders’ Cup Racing Festival.
This is the 15th year that MARHO will be holding its Breeders’ Cup Races. Every year, our colleagues
in MARHO always ensure that the races are truly interesting and very competitive. We know we will
again be seeing some of the very best younger and older colts and fillies in the country competing for
the championship in their respective categories. We all look forward to watching heart pounding
races during the entire MARHO Racing Week.
Needless to say, MARHO together with other associations in the industry, wants to ensure that
the racing industry will flourish not only now but in the years to come. The annual Breeders’ Cup
event is an excellent venue to showcase the very best Philippine-bred horses.
Again, our sincerest congratulations to the entire leadership of MARHO for continuing the
legendary Breeders’ Cup Races.
Warm regards,

That is the big question as the

As a tune-up, Dimasalang topped
