Procedure

Directions Students will be subdivided into 4 groups (three groups of four, one
group of five) and they will have to change the activity each 20
minutes.

1st step: teachers explain all the activities.

2nd step: students get themselves into the pertinent group (previously
prepared by the teachers).

3rd step: teachers give each group of students the material they need
to make the dice (a sheet of coloured cardboard and a photocopy
with Christmas symbols they have to colour and cut). The symbols
are: Candle, Santa Claus, Lights, Christmas tree, Star, Presents.

4th step: students begin to build the dice while teachers check their
work.

5th step: when they finish, each group begins an activity and then
they exchange activities.

The activities are:

1) rolling the dice and matching images with the corresponding
words;
2) rolling the dice and writing a sentence with the image they see;
3) rolling the dice, doing the spelling and writing the names of the
objects they see;
4) rolling the dice, finding the letters and writing the word. For this
activity they have a small basket with alphabet letters inside.

Evaluation Teachers’ analysis of the children’s improvement; students’

productions; teamwork: attitude, participation, helping attitude.
