Teacher explains what students learn today.
Teacher gives the definition of the circle, that is, circle is the set of points which have equal distance to a
fixed point in the plane.
Teacher introduces the concept map of basic elements of circle.
Teacher represents images of these elements on circle.
Teacher illustrates real-life examples such as wheel, a clock, ferris wheel, coin etc.
Teacher solves some related questions:

What is the radius of this circle?

Given the length of OA=3 and OB=5.

What is the length of CD?

Summary
Teacher will summarize the lesson by reminding the basic elements of a circle. These are radius, diameter,
tangent, chord, arc, segment, sector.
Measurement & Evaluation
We will use formative assessment in this lesson to measure students’ understanding.
To do that, we will use the MEB textbook.
Measurement & Assessment Activities for Teacher will ask them to open page 134 in textbook and
Individual Performance solve these questions (except fifth one because teacher
use it in the teaching activities session.)
After they finish, teacher will say the answers and
observe if they can do these questions or not.

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan

Since we use direct instruction, teacher does not need technology so much. If there is a power cut, teacher
cannot show concept map and Piktochart. For this case, teacher can print as hard copy them to distribute
each student.
