For "Expense," the menu options

helpful because large, irregular
expenses may throw off your "true"
averages in a given category. To
account for this, the Budget sheet
shows global averages for each
expense but also averages for
regular expenses only. "Nec/Lux"
is purely informational and is
intended to help the user quickly
identify potential unnecessary
expenses. For the most accurate
results and calculations, it is
recommended that all expenses be
recorded, big or small.

Will this update automatically from year to year?

Yep! It will automatically continue into a new year and will keep all of your old data. Also, the graphs on the Income
Categories, and Balances sheets are interactive. That is, not only will they update in real-time, but you can choose wh
them by financial year (and, if so, which year) or over the past 12 months.

Can I change the cycle options for expenses to be more exact (e.g., weekly, biweekly, annually)?
You can definitely add cycle options yourself should you wish to do so. However, the workbook is currently limited t
and "irregular" expenses). I originally created more options but opted for just two categories because I wanted it to be
for the average user.

What should I list as my income on the Budget sheet if my income varies from month to month?
I would just estimate a conservative monthly average (i.e., on the lower side) and multiply it by 12. You could always
on, as well, like if you get a seasonal job at some point. If your income fluctuates a lot, you might find the actual mon
(cell F14) on the Summary tab more helpful than the projections.

What other platforms or software is this compatible with?

LibreOffice: I made a version that was compatible for LibreOffice in the past. The Excel file should import without a

Google Drive: I experimented with making a Google Drive version of this, using Google Sheets, but many of the adv

Older versions of Excel: I'm not sure. I've only used this on Excel 2013 and 2016. However, I think it will work on e
