The line graph illustrates the consumption of fast food by Australian teenagers
in terms of amount and type during the period between 1975 and 2000.

Overall, the amount of pizza and hamburgers consumed experienced a jump,


while the figure for fish and chips decreased significantly almost all the time
surveyed.

From 1975 to 1985, the consumption of hamburgers by Australian teenagers


took off from about 10 times per year to about 82 times per years. Likewise,
there was an upturn in the figure for pizza, which rose from approximately 5
times per year to about 81 times per year. During the period between 1985 and
2000, the amount of hamburgers consumed increased slightly and remained
relatively stable at 100 times per years. Similar to the consumption of
hamburgers, the figure for pizza experienced a dramatic increase of about 40
times per year, then remain constantly at about 82 times per year.

By contrast, there was a significant decrease in the consumption of fish and


chips by Australian teenagers from 1975 to 2000. The period between 1975 and
1985 witnessed a fluctuation in the range between 100 times per year and
about 82 times per year in the amount of fish and chips consumed. From 1985
to 2000, the figure for fish and chips experienced a decline of about 43 times per
year.
