1. Safety Officer: Everybody is a Safety Officer. Look after

yourself and others also
2. Plan your activity: Understand the job; spend few minutes
thinking about the job & hazards and put safety measures in
place.
3. Re assesses the hazard-before starting the work.
4. Housekeeping-Regularly clean up.
5. Multiple work force: Be aware about the Hazards from
nearby activities
6. Equipment - Check your equipment before use.
7. PPE - Wear appropriate PPE required for your job.
8. Right Tools-Use right tools for the job.
9. Chain blocks-Do not attach the chain blocks to the
scaffolding poles for support. They are not designed for the
same
10. Cable / Hoses - Anchor the cables/ hoses with proper
support to avoid damage
11. Electrical Hazard-Any damaged cable can kill person; check
the cables before use
12. Hot work-Welding screen, fire blanket; watch the people
adjacent to you or near by
13. Scaffolding Tags. - Check the scaffolding tags before using
the scaffold.
14. Grinding: Use double eye protection, proper grinding
gloves, grinder in good condition and a good grinding wheel
with proper speed
15. Fall from the height - Use Safety harness while working at
height.
16. During summer months especially, caution regarding Heat
Stress.
17. Seek Advice-If in doubt about safety of the job or equipment
ask your Supervisor, Foreman, Safety Officer.
