Admission Notice

Aspiring candidates are requested to apply for admission to vacant seats of B.Tech CSE and B.Tech IT
(Inhouse University Department of CSE and Department of IT). A   category wise merit list will be
prepared on the basis of GMR of WBJEEM ­2016. Wait lists will also be published. The applications
should be addressed to “The HoD, CSE & IT” and  must reach to the above mentioned address by 4th
August, 2016. Merit list will be published on  9 th August, 2016 at the website. The candidates whose
name appears in the merit list has to take admission by the next day. Students who has already taken
admission are also eligible to apply for stream change. 

Eligibility Criteria:
a) Merit Rank – candidates having Engineering ‘General Merit Rank’ (GMR) in WBLEEM ­2016
b) Age – Candidate must be 17 years of age or above as on 31.12.2016.
c) Educational Qualification ­ Candidates must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of West 
Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized 
Council/Board in regular class mode with:­
I.   Individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and 
II. Minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects taken together (40% for SC/ST/ PwD/OBC­A/OBC­
B candidates) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks (for all categories of 
candidates) in the said qualifying examination.

Important Documents are to be submitted positively by the candidates 
a) Application in a plain paper mentioning (Stream(s) applied for , Name, Father's/Mother's name, 
Date of Birth, Cast, GMR of WBJEEM­2016 )
b) Copy of Downloaded Rank Card of WBJEEM – 2016.
c) Recent passport size photographs should be pasted on the application form.
d) Copy of Admit Card / Certificate of Madhyamik (10th Standard) or equivalent examinations or Birth
Certificate from competent authority for verification of age.
e) Copy of Mark Sheet of Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 Standard) or equivalent examinations.
f) In case of SC/ST/PWD candidates of the state of West Bengal, Copy of Caste Certificate issued by 
the competent authority for verification.
