Parents: Have you considered signing as the

guarantor on your student’s housing agreement?

Students who are under the age of 18 at the time of move in are required to have a parent or guardian sign as
guarantor. However, there are some benefits to signing even if your dependent student is over 18.

the housing installment rent?

Students may submit a request to add a guarantor by sending an email to

UCDallasleasing@americancampus.com from their UTD email stating their
desired guarantor’s full name and email address. A link to e-sign will be
emailed to the guarantor. Each student is permitted one guarantor.

If you do not sign as guarantor, FERPA requires the University Housing staff
to receive additional student consent prior to discussing their account.
