Sura and Baya

A long time ago, there were two animals, Sura and Baya. Sura was the name of a shark and
Baya was a crocodile. They lived in a sea.

Once Sura and Baya were looking for some food. Suddenly, Baya saw a goat.

"Yummy, this is my lunch," said Baya.

"No way! This is my lunch. You are greedy" said Sura. Then they fought for the goat. After
several hours, they were very tired.

Feeling tired of fighting, they lived in the different places. Sura lived in the water and Baya

 Present Perfect (have dan has)

Menanyakan sesuatu yang seharusnya sudah selesai atau sudah dikerjakan.

1. Have you finish your homework? (Apakah kamu sudah selelsai mengerjakan PR?)
2. Has he called his mother yet? (Apakah dia sudah menelepon ibunya?)

 Past perfect (had)

Menanyakan sesuatu hal yang seharusnya sudah selesai dimasa lampau.

1. Had you had your lunch? (Apakah kamu sudah makan siang?)
2. Had they caught the thief? (APakah mereka sudah menangkap pencurinya?)

2. Information questions
Dalam pertanyaan Information questions, menggunakan pertanyaan 5 W+ 1 H ( question words)
seperti what, when, where, who, which, how, dsb. Pertanyaan yang memerlukan jawaban penjabaran
ini terbagi dua antara menanyakan subjek dan menanyakan objek.
Pembuatan pertanyaanya sama dengan format Yes/No question, dengan menambahkan kata dari
5W+1 H didepannya.

Contoh :

Do you swim at the beach? (Apakah kamu berenang di pantai?)

Pertanyaan yang terdapat dalam kalimat atau pertanyaan lain. Susunan seperti kalimat berita
berbeda dari kalimat tanya seperti biasanya.

Contoh :

 Question : How long will he work in Bali? (Pertanyaan : Berapa lama dia akan bekerja diBali?)

Embedded question : I don’t know how long he will work in Bali. (Saya tidak tahu berapa lama dia
akan bekerja di Bali)

 Question : What will we do after the test? Apa yang akan kita lakukan setelah test?)
