Difference between passengers and cargo airline business model:

Passenger airline business model:

Basically there are three types of passenger airline business models:

 Low cost carrier(LLC)

 Full service carrier(FSC)
 Charter model

Passenger airline business model are those model or catagories by which

passengers can be served by airlines. They served the passengers with different
conditions with different types of comfort

Airlines generate revenue by passengers. When airlines give additional facilities on

their low cost carrier customers then definitely they attract towards that airline and
this sounds good for that airline.

Cargo airline business models:

Cargo airlines are airlines mainly dedicated to
the transport of cargo by air. Some cargo airlines are
divisions or subsidiaries of larger passenger airlines.

Cargo is another option for airlines to generate the

revenue. For this purpose they have special aircrafts like
cargolux boeing 747 etc.

Cargo play very important role in the transportation of different object, mails,
perishable items and many things more.

By air cargo we can transport the things far away from us in minimium time. But
air cargo is always costly because we import or export our things may be in other
continents.

Airline cargo have rules and regulations which are applied on every cargo
shipment. For example, if someone imports dangerous goods then it may be
overcome under the policy of IATA and PCAA. So, every cargo airline have their
SOPs and policies according to which they generate revenue for them.
Low cost carrier (LLC):
Low cost carrier is defined as the passenger can travel in airline in low fares.

Its means the airline will not provide the extreme best quality. Not even the best
comfort because of their low fares like in-flight entertainment system will not
provide to the passenger. Meal is not provides to the passenger.

Airlines already made their policies and different conditions. Actually airlines are
under competition with one another. So, airline makes their policies according to
the competitions in the market.

If airlines wants that customers will come to them and never go to other airlines
even in Low cost carrier. Then airline must make comfortable conditions and
policies so that passengers get attracted towards that airline.

For example, if other airlines never give flight entertainment during flight then if
one airline will give it to passengers then other passengers will come to them..
same as if other flights will never giving the meal in flight then if any airline starts
giving it. Then passengers prefer that airline and due to this the revenue will highly
increase. Airline use different ways to accommodate their passengers according to
market requirement and shares and make their policies and conditions according to
them.
