DESCRIPTION
Daily Check is more comprehensive than the Transit Check and must be carried out prior to the first flight of each day by a licensed
technician. The planning of Daily Check is managed by PCP Department and performed by maintenance staff. It is the shift team Leader
responsibility to ensure that Daily Check is performed at prescribed. Daily Check must be recorded in the Flight Book.

COMPLIANCE INSTRUCTIONS TECH
1. ARRIVAL
1.2. Install/Remove the nose and main landing gear ground lock safety devices (as necessary).
2.2. Visually check that all emergency exit hatches are secured and that handles are properly
stowed. (Source Boeing Task Card 21-001-02-02 MPD B52-20-00-A).
2.3.1.Entire cabin interior and entry area - inspect for condition, contamination and
completeness.
2.3.3.Floor covering - inspect in entry and galley areas for obvious damage and contamination.
2.3.4.Passenger seats and seat covers - inspect for obvious damage and contamination.
2.3.5.PSU - inspect for general condition; check lights and signal for “NO SMOKING” and
“FASTEN SEAT BELTS” signs.
2.3.6.Lavatories and Galleys - Inspect for general condition, cleanliness, ovens security,
water leaks, waste containers.
2.3.7.Lavatories fire extinguishers - inspect for general condition and fire extinguisher
bottle indication label.
2.3.8.Through the cabin windows, inspect for general condition the upper skin (wing
LH/RH), vortex generator and flight controls.

2.3.9.Verify or perform initial daily charge per approved procedures by activating cabin lighting.
2.4.2.Portable oxygen bottles - check pressure (above 1500 psi at 21° C). (Source Boeing AMM
12-15-21).
2.4.3.PBEs - check for correct position and that the pouch is not inflated.
2.4.4.Disposable oxygen masks - check for presence, integrity and life validity.
2.4.5.First Aid Kit (After and Forward), Medical Kit, Survival Kit, Dangerous Good Kit, and NPU
- check for seal integrity. Do a visual inspection Demo Kit for condition.
2.4.6.Crew and passengers life vest - check for presence, including spares.
2.4.7.Escape slides - check the proper stowage and bottle pressure (2900 PSI at 21 °C or needle
in green “GO” band).
2.4.8.Fire gloves, smoke goggles and crash axe - check for presence and condition.
2.4.10. Emergency lights - check for operation by using pilot’s or attendant’s switch.
3.2. Cockpit Door Operational Check (Applicable to airplanes with C&D cockpit doors installed.)
3.2.1.Visually check that the Flight Deck Access System (FDAS) switch on the chime module is
in the NORM (guard closed) position.

3.2.3.Do these steps to make sure the chime module speaker operates:
3.2.3.1. Make sure the FLT DK DOOR rotary switch is in the AUTO position.
3.2.3.2. Enter the access code in the keypad and press the ENT key.
3.2.3.3. Make sure the chime module sounds appropriately.
3.2.3.4. Make sure the AUTO UNLK light comes on.
3.2.3.5. Put the FLT DK DOOR switch to the DENY position.
3.2.3.6. Make sure the AUTO UNLK light goes off.
3.2.3.7. Put the FLT DK DOOR switch to the UNLKD position.
3.2.3.8. Put the FDAS switch on the chime module to the OFF position.
3.2.3.9. Make sure the LOCK FAIL Light comes on.
3.2.3.10. Put the FDAS switch to the NORM position.
3.2.4.From the flight deck side of the door:
3.2.4.1. Close and lock the flight compartment door.
3.2.4.2. Push on the door to make sure it is locked.
4.1.4.Check of aircraft to detect obvious damage, fluid leaks and discrepancies as follows:
4.1.4.1. Turn on hydraulic and fuel pumps. Hydraulic pressure should be at least 2800
psig. Move the flight control surface several times. (Source Boeing AMM 29-00-00).
4.1.4.2. Check for fuel leaks at following areas: dry bays, fueling bay,
engine/naceIles/pylons, lower wing surface especially at drain valves. (Source
Boeing AMM 27-00-00).
4.1.4.3. Check for hydraulic leaks from hydraulic power units and other hydraulic
components at landing gear wheel wells, wing leading edge ar wheel wells wing
leading edge, wing trailing edge, AFT fuselage, and landing gears. (Source Boeing
AMM 29-00-00).
Note: Turn off pumps when walk-around inspection is complete.
4.1.5.Check exterior lights (Wing scanning, Nose Gear Taxi Light , Anticollision Light and Steady
position & Strobe) for proper operation.
4.1.6.If the aircraft will be on the ground more than 3 hours or in adverse environmental
conditions (sand, smoke, ashes.) install the Pitots covers, “DON’T FORGET REMOVE
BEFORE FLIGHT”
4.2. WINGS
4.2.2.Check the flame arrestor pressure relief valve poppet is flush (not above the bottom
surface of the wing). Refer to AMM Task 28-13-41-406-001.
4.2.3.LE Slats, TE flaps, ailerons, spoilers, vortex generators, wing lower surface for damage,
and loose or missing fasteners. (Source Boeing AMM 27-00-00).

4.2.4.Landing lights, strobe navigation, steady position and logo lights for general condition
and operation. (Source Boeing AMM 33-40-00).
4.2.6.Fuel and defueling coupling for security and condition. (Source Boeing AMM 12-11-00).
4.3. FUEL
4.3.1.Drain aircraft fuel sump until fuel entering container is free of water.
Note: Allow aircraft fuel so settler for 2 hours after last flight prior to draining
sumps.
4.3.2.Check fuel for water contents. Put one or two drops of food coloring into the transparent
container, before you drain fuel samples from each sump valve into it. This helps finding
water in the fuel, since the water will have color.
Take fuel samples from each main tank and check for water contamination.
Drain at least 1 (one) liter as sample.
Note: If contamination is found, repeat until fuel is free from water an notify to
Quality Control department. (Source Boeing AMM 12-11-01).
4.4. MAIN AND NOSE GEAR AND WHEEL WEELS
4.4.1.Check nose and main landing gear tires, wheels and brakes for obvious damage.
(Source Boeing Task Card 21-001-02-03 MPD B32-00-00-E).
4.4.2.Visually check condition of nose & main landing gear viewing windows. Clean as
required. (Source Boeing Task Card 21-001-02-03 MPD B56-41-00-A).
4.4.3.Check the nose and main landing gear tires for the following conditions:
4.4.3.1. Extent and pattern of normal thread wear.
4.4.3.2. Cuts in treads and sidewalls.
4.4.3.3. Cracks or tears in tread.
4.4.3.4. Openings of any splices in tread or side walls.
4.4.3.5. Presence of any bulges or blisters.
4.4.3.6. Indication or chaffing between tire and wheel.
4.4.3.7. Significant spillage of hydraulic fluid onto tire surface.

4.4.4.Check nose and main landing gear tires for proper inflation. (Source Boeing Task Card
12-015-51-01 MPD B12-15-51-3A).
Service as required. Record tire pressure in the below tables.
NOTE: Let the tires cool for a minimum of two hours after the airplane has landed.
WARNING: INFLATE TIRES WITH NITROGEN ONLY.
4.4.5.Apply brakes and visually check left and right MLG wear pin for minimum extension.
Visual Check brakes for damage, leakage and wear (parking brake set).
If brake wear indicator shows less than 1 mm of remaining length, the brake has to be
changed within the following landings. If indicator shows 0 (zero) mm or less, the brake
has to be changed prior to next flight. (Source Boeing Task Card 32-041-41-01 MPD
B32-41-41-6A).

4.6.3.Check the general condition of APU and leaks. (Source Boeing AMM 49-00-00).
4.6.5. Check and record APU Start Counter: ______________. Apply Yes____ No____
4.7. EMPENNAGE
Visually check for condition the following from ground level (Source Boeing AMM 55-
00-00):
5.1. Previous to aircraft delivery, inspect Pitot tubes and Static ports for any obstruction of damage.
5.2. On the Flight and Maintenance LogBook write down the discrepancies and their corrective
actions performed.
If a component is removed or installed, write down its Part Number, Serial Number, Position (IN-
OUT) and the reason for removal or installation.
If one or more conditions are observed, in accordance with MGM, an Airworthiness Release
signature on the logbook will be required.
NOTE: Once this Daily check form has been completed, please sign off the Daily
accomplishment on the Flight and Maintenance logbook.
