 When was the place first inhabited by people?
 What was the place known for?
 Who were the first people to occupy the place (tribe, clan, etc)?
 What were the important events happened to the place?
 When the place was formally become a barangay?

B. Geographical Features/Characteristics (in Paragraph form)

i. Location and Boundary
 Where is the place located?
 How far or near the place to the town center?
 What are the barangays that surround the place
ii. Accessibility and Transportation
 How to reach/access the barangay?
 What mode of transportation is used to transport people and goods?
 What kind of transportation and how many are there in the barangay?
iii. Topography
 Is the place plain, mountainous, hilly or sloping?
 What is the area of plain, mountainous or sloping land?
iv. Land use
 How is the land utilized? How many hectares are used for agriculture,
residential or commercial/institutional?
v. Climate and Weather
 When is the time of dry and rainy season in your barangay?
 How does this condition affect activity (farming or trading) in the barangay?

C. Demographic Features/Characteristics (in paragraph form)

i. Total Population
 How many people are there in the barangay? How many families and
household?
ii. Ethno-linguistic Distribution
 What tribes composed the population of the place? How many are Ilongo,
Cebuano, IPs, etc?
 Are these people live jointly or distributed sparingly?
iii. Housing materials
 How would you describe the housing materials of the populace?
 Are raw materials for housing available in the place?
 D. Socio-Economic Feature ( in paragraph form)
i. Health and Sanitation
 What is the source of drinking water in the area?
 Are residents have their own sanitary toilets?
 Is there health station/center in the barangay? How many?
 Are health professional (Doctors, nurses) and health workers regularly visit
the barangay? Weekly? Monthly? Yearly?
 What are the most common diseases in the place?
ii. Education
 What is the literacy rate of the barangay?
 How many are college graduate, high school and elementary graduates?
 How many are the schools in the community? Elementary? High school?
College?
iii. Source of Income/Livelihood
 What is the main source of income in the barangay? How many are farmers,
farmworkers, employees, business persons, others?

E. Political Structure
I. Leadership
 Are elected officials perform regularly their political task?
 Who are the set of current elected leaders?
 What are the other organizations existing in the barangay?
 Do they contribute/participate in the barangay activities?
 Are association, sectoral leaders part of the barangay development Council

F. Development Gaps
 What are the potential projects in the barangay but are not prioritized by the
existing leadership? (you may ask older people in the community)
