The Indian Media and Entertainment (M&E) Industry, one of the most vibrant and exciting industries in the world, has had a
tremendous impact on the lives and the Indian economy. It reaches millions of people 161 million TV households, 94,067
newspapers (12,511 dailies), close to 2000 multiplexes, 214 million internet users out of which 130 million are mobile
internet users. In calendar year 2013, the Indian Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry registered a growth of 11.8 per
cent over 2012 and touched INR 918 billon. 2013 was a tumultuous year for the industry. In the midst of an economic
slowdown, the industry faced several challenges, both business and regulatory. However, 2013 was a year in which the
foundation of the Entertainment industry was strengthened to position for growth as the economy improves. Industry is
expected to register a CAGR of 14.2 percent to touch INR 1785.8 billion by 2018.

With this background, proposed ‘Film Making Institute’ Project would be first of its kind to be established in Northern India,
as majority of entertainment industry in India is concentrated in Mumbai, India. Project proposes to build an ultra modern
Film Making Institute in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Project is proposed to be developed under the name of ‘Saidwar Projects
Pvt Ltd’ (“The Company”) a Private Limited Company incorporated on 12th August 2013 registered with Registrar of the
Companies, Uttar Pradesh with registered address 232, AWADHPURI 2 KHARGAPUR, GOMTI NAGAR EXTENTION,
LUCKNOW Lucknow UP 226010 IN.

The Institute envisions to impart high quality education in the fields of Film, Television and allied media to encourage
creative expression, independent enterprise and to create well educated professionals for Film, TV and media Industry. It
also seeks to promote research & innovation and develop new concepts & practices in the area of Film & TV education for
professional and soci- cultural exchange at the National & International level.

OBJECTIVES
The objectives for which the Institute is established are :

1. To develop suitable patterns of teaching in all branches of film and television, both at under-graduate and post-
graduate levels, so as to establish high standards of films and television education in India.
2. To constantly endeavour at raising the technical standards of Indian films and television programmes so as
to make them aesthetically more satisfying and acceptable to facilitate regular inflow of fresh ideas and new
techniques in the field of Cinema and Television and a corresponding outflow of trained personnel imbibing these
ideas and techniques.
3. To produce trained man-power both for the growing needs of the film industry and television organisations in India ,
and particularly to organise the in-service training programme for television personnel.
4. To create a new awareness among the future workers in film and television of the potentialities of their media not
only as means of entertainment but also of education and artistic expression.
5. To cooperate or collaborate with other national and/or foreign institutes and institutions and organisations in the field
of film television and the performing arts.
6. To provide for postgraduate teaching in the art and craft of film-making for Cinema and Television and allied
subjects.
7. To provide facilities for and undertake research in various branches of film and television.
8. To prescribe courses and curricula for postgraduate studies and short-term courses.
9. to hold examinations and grant such diplomas and certificates and other academic distinctions as may be necessary;
10. To organise refresher courses, summer schools and the like and invite experts and research scholars from within the
country and abroad for delivering lectures and/or developing research and to pay them such remunerations as may
be appropriate.
11. To depute students and members of the staff of the Institute to participate in seminars, conferences, workshops,
training courses and the like, in India and abroad, through fellowships, scholarships and otherwise.
12. To print, publish and exhibit any magazine, periodical, monograph poster or films that may be desirable for the
promotion of the objectives of the Institute.
13. To assist and associate itself with efforts of other academic bodies, Governmental, non-Governmental for the
fulfilment of the objects of the Institute.
14. To institute and award scholarships, fellowships, monetary assistance and prizes with a view to promoting interest in
studies and research in film and television.
15. To institute and appoint persons to professorships, readerships, lectureships and posts of any description in
accordance with the rules and bye-laws.
16. To fix and recover fees and other charges and establish, maintain and manage halls and hostels for the residence of
scholars, officers, members of the staff and students of the Institute.
17. To accept grants, subscriptions, donations, gifts, benefactions, bequests and transfers of properties, both movable
and immovable, from any Government, Corporations, Trust or person for the purpose of the Institute, provided that
no conditions or obligations opposed to the objects of the Institute are attached thereto, and in the case of grants and
gifts from foreign Government, foreign organisations or international organisations, prior approval of Central
Government is obtained.

Project is promoted by Mr. Ishwari Kumari Dwivedi, He holds 18.57% shareholding in


the company. Mr. Dwivedi, age 31, is young and dynamic; he holds ‘Journalism and
Mass Communication Degree’ from Sampuranand University and also ‘Law Degree’
from Ram Manohar Lohia University. He started his career as production incharge in
‘Rashtriya Sahara Media Channel’, he was also associated with ‘Pioneer – Hindi’ and
Jano Duniya Channel,Gujarat as Reporter. From past many years he has been associated
with publication and management of a Newspaper with the name of ‘Janutkarsh
Patrika’. The said newspaper is published from Lucknow in four different languages i.e.
Hindi, English, Bhojpuri, Urdu. He is also involved in management of Six Colleges
running under a Trust named as ‘Pandit Bhagwati Deen Dwivedi Memorial Trust’.

University of Lucknow. Gauravi Dwivedi is the
Owner, Publisher and Printer of Loktantra Mein
Bharosa, a national level publication. Several
articles, written by her are published in various
books, journals and magazines. Presently, she is
working on a project on ‘Female Foeticide’ aided by
Government of India. She has achieved many
momentums and certificates from Govt. of India
and the State Government for her contribution in
journalism and social work. She holds a PG Degree
in Social works from University of Lucknow.
Ms Indira Pandey Director She is a Post-Graduate from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia
Awadh University, Faizabad. Basically, she is a
resident of Sultanpur, but presently she is living in
Lucknow. Her background is of business and she is
one of the partners of RSP Industries, Jagdishpur.
Along with this, she has been in the field of
journalism. Presently, she is the editor of an Urdu
daily ‘AwadhShahafat’, published from Lucknow.

Strength

 Proposed Project would be the first of its kind project in Northern India thus
 giving the company first mover advantage. 
 Promoters have ample amount of experience in the industry as they have been
associated with publication and management of a Newspaper with the name of
‘Janutkarsh Patrika’. The said newspaper is published from Lucknow in four
different languages i.e. Hindi, English, Bhojpuri, Urdu. One of the major
Shareholder of the Company is already involved in management of Six Colleges
is running under a Trust named as ‘Pandit Bhagwati Deen Dwivedi Memorial
Trust’ 

 Company has already entered into offtake agreements which in turn
strengthens the fact that promoter has good business network and repot in
Media & Entertainment Industry. 

 Promoters have Significant financial capabilities. 

 Management team is a good mix of experience and youth. 

 UP Government has announced Rs 300 Cr budget for media related activities 
  Demand for niche and innovative music channel as envisaged. 

Threat

 Threat from increased competition by new entrants in market as the entry


 barriers are low. 
 Change in Government policies. 
 Generic threats of economic slowdown resulting in low spend on advertisement. 
