Moreover, the Senior High School students were tasked to present their handicrafts specifically baskets, bukag and farmer’s hat. Our guest speaker was Adela E. Icao, one of the IP leader in Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental. She was 52 years old and a residence of Katipunan, Sinacaban. She shared the importance of Subanen tribe, their culture and their beliefs. She reminds the students not to forget, instead be proud of being a Subanen. Furthermore, she inspired the students to study hard to be successful someday. In general, the activity was indeed successful. The participation and the cooperation of the students and teachers headed by our principal, Mrs. Juliet S. Lapiz was of great help. We believe that this activity will positively influence us to love and embrace ourselves despite of our differences.
