Standard Operating Procedure

1. Rationale
According to Evertson and Weinstein (2006), express classroom management as the actions that teachers take to create
an atmosphere that supports and facilitates both academic and social-emotional learning. This definition focuses on the concern
of the teacher to relate the use of classroom management strategies to multiple learning goals for students. Hence, Learning
occurs only when students are actively engaged in the control of their learning.

Consequently, Bophy (2006) presents a parallel definition; classroom management refers to actions taken to create and
maintain a learning environment advantageous to successful instruction. Thus, both definitions stress the importance to develop
contextualized classroom procedures to ensure quality instructions and learnings.

Therefore, it is validated and supported by the findings of Korpershoek et al. (2014), that classroom management
interventions are generally effective in enhancing student outcomes.

2. Scope
This covers the academic and behavioural aspects of all classroom activities that will concern students' outcomes.
3. Responsibilities
The students can suggest and modify the procedure before it’s full implementation in the semester or period. It is also
the responsibility of both teacher and students to respect and conform strictly to the shared procedure.
