I used to think that only in the third
world country like Philippines is  Should the government be the
 federal policymaking when it having difficulty in literacy education. one to change in literacy
comes to literacy education There are parents in US and Australia education? Why or why not?
 neoliberal discussions of that are not yet ready for
education improvement or advancement
especially in digital literacy. After
reading the article, I now think
adjustment is really difficult.
Technology and digital world may be
coming in a blink of an eye but the
refusal of some still affect the
improvement in education.
b. The Road Ahead
In this topic, it talks about that
in 2015 there would be new teachers
that are hired. There would be also
new government mandates regarding
changes in school setting.
Unfortunately, not all schools are
ready and in favor of it. That may not
also be accepted and practiced.
Today’s digital literacy requires
appropriating skills in defining and
refining goals, searching and selecting
various documents, websites, and
other sources for relevant materials.
The road ahead rewuires a more
dynamic and robust form of
assessment and inquiry. It demands a
richer collaboration among teachers,
researchers, other resource
personnel, learners, and community
stakeholders.

than humanize the differential
support needs of all learners and
reciprocal expectations of
communities.
In DepED Philippines, teachers are
encouraged to have an action
research. At first, I was hesitant to do
it because all I know is teachers can
use this action research for promotion
purposes. But then I realize, at some
point having action research is the
best solution in helping the students
to be more productive and responsive
to learning. K12 curriculum is really
challenging not only for students and
teachers but also to parents who are
struggling raising and providing for
their children. So, if the curriculum is
challenging, the solution is find ways
to make it easier but not
compromising the objectives of it and
digital literacy may be one of the
solutions in this matter.
