Mitigation
Flood – During tropical storm, heavy rain or habagat, the low elevation of Bgy. Sta. Teresita
especially along Mayon/Dapitan Street makes it as a catch basin of flood waters from D. Tuazon
Street and N. Roxas Streets. Clogged drainages is also a major cause of flooding. House owners
should keep the cleanliness of their surroundings to avoid flooding and clogging of drainages.
Earthquake – Earthquakes cannot be modified or easily detected. Therefore, the only means of
reducing the adverse effect is through less the community vulnerability . Massive information
dissemination and communication is vital.
Preparedness:
Response:
Flood – residents of the affected areas were informed to prepare and move to higher ground and
immediately evacuate.
Earthquake – The BDRRMC will ensure that all of its members and staff are trained and competent
to undertake their assigned tasks.
Full implementation of Solid Waste Management Segregation Scheme starts on July 2015
Launching of Barangay Sta. Teresita Clean-up Drive every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.
Donation of supplies and materials for the repair of street lights and painting of gutters
Donation of relief goods for the affected families
