Content
Learning Outcomes [ASSURE (State Objectives)]
1- Student will define exponential numbers.
2- Student will evaluate the equations with exponential numbers
3- Student will calculate the equations with root numbers with solving 10 questions, which should be
done correctly.
4- Student will analyze the relationship between root expressions and exponential numbers.
Instructional Materials & Media [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and Materials)]
1-Infographic
2-Presentation
3-Test book
Learning-Teaching Methods [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and Materials)]
In general, teacher-strategies will be used. Therefore, during the lesson, Teacher will use presentations,
infographic and video. Mainly, in the class, direct instruction will be dominant strategy
Teaching Activities [ASSURE (Utilize Technology, Media, and Materials and Require Learner Participation)]
-At the beginning of the lesson, teacher uses infographic, which shows mainly exponential numbers, to get
students’ attention and to make students remind their own prior knowledge about the topic.
-During the lesson, teacher will give test to provide area that student can practice their knowledge which is
learned in the lesson.
-Consequently, teacher will show a presentation and a video about whole unit to summarize all knowledge
that students have learned during this topic.
Individual Learning Activities 1- Students will solve tests to understand the process
of how to solve a question about exponential numbers
with rational exponents.
2- Students will be given 5 tests as homework from
the test book that Teacher provides.
Group Learning Activities None

Summary
Implementation
- Teacher analyze the learners about their prior knowledge and grade level by using infographic
- Teacher explain basics about exponential and root numbers
- Teacher shows the relationship between exponential and root numbers
- Teacher gives a test for each student to make them practice their knowledge that they have learned
in the lesson
- To summarize, teacher shows a presentation about what s/he has taught during this unit to remind
all information that they have covered during this time interval
Back-up
- For the possible issue about presentation, teacher prepares a poster, which has pages of
presentation
If there is an issue about infographic, teacher will have copy of infographic as handouts
Measurement & Evaluation
Measurement & Assessment Activities for 1- A test for each student and they will be assessed
Individual Performance according to the number of correct answers
2- Questions that are asked by teacher to students
and students are expected to comment at least
one question even if it is correct or not.
Measurement & Assessment Activities for None
Group Performance
Homework (optional) 1- 5 Test from test book that teacher provides.
Explanation
We apply a test to students during the lesson not to grade them about what they have learned, the purpose
is that we want to obtain levels of students in this topic and data that we can compare with other data from
other weeks.
Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
Before the lesson, teacher analyze the learners about their prior knowledge and grade level. For that
purpose, teacher uses infographic to remind previous knowledge that students have brought from other
grades before. Then, teacher explains the basics, which are summation and subtraction of exponential
numbers with integer exponents, by using this kind of presentation and starts to talk about the root numbers
and their relationship with exponents by showing x^ (1/2) notation, also indicates 𝑛 √𝑥^m= x^(m/n).
Moreover, teacher writes examples on the board. (3√4^2= 4^ (2/3), 4 √5^5= 5^ (4/5)). After that, teacher
gives a test for each student to make them practice their knowledge that they have learned in the lesson. To
summarize, teacher shows a presentation about what s/he has taught during this unit to remind all
information that they have covered during this time interval. Lastly, teacher gives 5 tests, which will be
graded next lesson according to number of correct answers they did, from test book that s/he provide to
students.
