Skip Counting and Sequence of Numbers

Do you have any idea on what are Skip

Counting and Number Sequence means? Yes Ma’am

What is Skip Counting? Skip counting is simply counting while

skipping a number or numbers in between. In
order to skip count however, the same count
needs to be made every time.

Very Good!

For example:
5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, ….
It is an ordered list of numbers. A number
How about Number Sequence? sequence is a list of numbers that are linked by
a rule.

Excellent!
For example:

The difference between each number is 6. So

the rule for this sequence is to add 6 each time.

9,15,21,27 (9 +6 = 15+6 = 21+6 = 27)

Did you understand class? Yes Ma’am

I will give you activity of four or five numbers

on the board. And guess what number comes next.
Did you understand? Yes Ma’am

3 6 9 12 ___

What will be the next number? The next number is 15.

Excellent!
How did you know that was correct? You’re skipping 3 numbers every time.
Good Job!
2 4 6 ___ 10 12

What is the answer?

Very Good! The answer is 8.
How did you know that was correct?
Marvelous!
Because they skip number by twos.

Let’s now proceed to the Sequence of

Numbers.

13, 17 and 19
2. 3,7,__,15,19,__
11 and 23
3. 4,7,__,13,16,19,__ 10 and 22

. IV. Evaluation
