Introduction:

● Post tension slab are not complex where the construction technique, structure
behaviour and design are all simple.
The tendon install provide a suspension system within the slab and the simple
balancing load were used.
● This project focuses on studying the behaviour of PT slab and conventional slab
using Staad Pro.
● In this study response of the building with conventional slab and PT slab in
zone 2 and zone 5 subjected to earthquake load is analyzed by response
spectrum method.
● The different Spectral accelerations of the buildings with respect to time are
plotted in the response spectrum graph are compared for the results along with
the story displacement.
● A comparison study was done to identify the Response of the multi-story
building with different slab system during seismic analysis.
Results:

1. Displacement in Z- direction is more when compared to displacement in

X-direction.
