the component (unit) under consideration on the TV3-117VM engine.

#. To draw up a technological map for the work “External and internal re-
preservation of the NR-3VM” with an indication in the figure of a specific
location for each operation performed.

the TV3-117VM engine.
#. Pump - regulator nr-3vm

Picture. 1. Pump regulator

It is a complex of automatic devices combined in one unit with a high pressure
pump. The automatic devices of the NR-3VM regulator pump provide for
regulating the fuel supply to the engine according to a specific program from
start to nominal operation inclusive, limiting the maximum fuel consumption
during take-off mode in the event of failure of electronic regulators, controlling
compressor guide vanes, issuing a signal to turn off the air starter at startup.
When working together with electronic regulators ERD-3VM and RT-12-6 NR, it
limits NTK and Tg on take-off mode.
Picture. 2. Pump Regulator-3VM
The pump regulator consists of the following main parts:
● fuel inlet filter;

● high pressure pump;

● main metering needle with piston;

● constant differential valves;

● stop crane;

● shut-off and backup valves of the first nozzle circuit;

● distribution and shutoff valves of the second nozzle circuit;

● air bleed valve;

● central filters of the regulator and dispenser;

● constant pressure valves;

● fuel pressure sensors RP of the turbocharger and rotor

● command valve shutdown air starter;

● signaling mechanism for disabling the air starter;

● turbocharger rotor speed regulator;

● temperature corrector;

● rotor speed controller;

● power synchronizer (SM).

1.2 Principle of work:

Fuel is used as a working fluid for the automation elements of the pump
regulator.
The operating pressure on the automation elements is defined as excess over
the drain pressure in the pump-regulator.
-The consumption of fuel supplied to the combustion chamber is determined by
the position of the main metering needle, because the differential pressure of
the fuel on the metering window of the needle is supported by a constant
differential valve gearbox.
- The position of the main metering needle is determined by the regulators that
change the pressure of the fuel in the cavity.
- Deviation of any regulatory parameter, for example, in the direction of
increase, increases the opening of the valve of the corresponding regulator, the
pressure in the cavity decreases, the main dispensing needle moves up, the
dispensing window and fuel consumption decrease to a value that ensures the
restoration of the adjustable parameter, and vice versa.
The start-up machine and the pick-up machine control the position of the main
metering needle at start-up and pick-up from the condition of limiting fuel
consumption in accordance with predetermined programs. The maximum fuel
consumption limiter provides the maximum fuel consumption corresponding to
the maximum allowable power.
- The minimum pressure valve (KMD) of the fuel controls the position of the
main metering needle at the reset mode from the condition of limiting the
constant minimum fuel consumption. Each steady state regulator controls the
position of the main metering needle from the condition of ensuring the fuel
consumption required to maintain
the set value of the adjustable parameter, the range of influence of the steady
state controllers is limited on the one hand by the pick-up machine program,
and on the other hand, by the minimum pressure valve.

1.3 Basic technical data nr-3vm:

Inlet fuel pressure
● At startup - 0.4 - 1.2 kgf / cm2.

● In operating modes - 0.4 - 2.8 kgf / cm2.

● The maximum pressure in the primary circuit of the nozzles (no more) is 60
kgf / cm2.

● The rotor speed of the fuel cell rotor, at which the fuel supply to the first
nozzle circuit begins, is 15–20%.

● On the site of small gas - 0 -. 3 (+7).

● At the take-off site - 77 ± 2 - 120 + 2.

● On-site control - 135 + 2 - 145-3.

● The rotor speed when turning off the power synchronizer is 107 ± 2%.

● The rotor speed of the TC when issuing a signal to turn off the air starter is
62.5 ± 2.5%.

● Weight (no more) -27.5 kg.

The fuel inlet filter 90 consists of a brass frame with a soldered filter mesh with
a mesh size of 0.025 ... 0.040 mm. In the HP housing, the filter is fixed by the
inlet fitting.
The central fuel filters 85 provide additional purification of the fuel supplied to
the HP precision spool pairs. The design of the filter is the same.
Each of them consists of 14 capsules mounted on a common frame, and a
magnetic ring that retains metal wear products. A ball valve is installed in the
filter frame, which bypasses crude fuel in the pump line when the filter is
clogged.
#. Route External and Internal re-preservation of “nr-3vm”
!. General Requirement

● Before mounting on the engine, the pump-regulator is subject to external

depreservation.

● Deconvocation should be done no earlier than 12 hours before installing HP.

● For external re-preservation, shipping caps and plugs must be left in

place. It is allowed to remove them immediately before connecting the
pipelines.

● HP internal re-preservation is performed on the engine during re-

preservation of the engine fuel system

!. External re-preservation

● Protect all air jets

from contact with preservative grease and gasoline.

● Contact with gasoline and preservative grease on these parts is not
allowed.

● Remove preservative grease with an HP wipe soaked in clean gasoline.

● Dry the HP surface with a clean, dry cloth.

!. Internal re-preservation

● If it is necessary to internal re-preservation of a separate pump regulator

(carrying out improvements, etc.), re-preservation is carried out with clean
fuel supplied to the inlet fitting under a pressure of 0.5-1 kgf / cm. At the
same time, rotate the pump rotor behind the external spring and move the
control levers of the speed controllers n xy and n zx several times and the
stop crane lever from lock to lock.

● Make internal preservation with preservation oil.

Picture. 10. preservation oil.

● Drain the remaining fuel from the HP internal cavities through the inlet
fitting and through the outlet fitting into circuits I and II.

● Perform inspection and flushing of fuel filters.

● Connect the hose of the installation used for engine conservation to the HP
fuel fitting. Connect the air bleeder. Turn on the unit and pump it with HP oil
at a pressure of 0.8-1 kgf / ohm, while bleeding air and fuel until oil appears
through the bleed valve. During preservation, rotate the HP rotor behind
the external spring and at the same time translate the control levers of the
speed controllers n xy and n zx , as well as the stop crane from lock to lock.

● Pour pressure-free preservative oil into the fuel connections (I), (2), (3),
and (4). (see fig. 11)

● After preservation, do not drain the HP oil, and screw the shipping plugs
onto the nipples and lock them with wire.

#. The need for this work
!. External re-preservation

● External re-preservation of the engine consists in wiping the engine with

clean cloths moistened with gasoline.

!. Internal re-preservation

● Internal re-preservation must be performed to clean all fuel fittings and

filters, so that there is no contaminated fuel during operation of the
TV3-117 engine
