INTRODUCTION

Description of the business

 Our business Peanut-Asa is about Peanut butter, Our

Business is trusted and affordable for everyone. All we want

is to serve the people affordable and cannot be regretted.

Location of the business

 We want our product will be known and easy to locate, the

location of our business at the maritime canteen in UCLM.

Funding Requirement and Source of funds

 Initial funds that Peanut – Asa Company needs to start a

business is P 70,000. This includes payment for electricity,

salaries and wages of employees, rental and procurement

of materials needed in the production of peanut butter.

to improve and maintain camaraderie.

Which is Peanut-Asa, To delight and serve our customers into creative

business of our loyal customers.

Our main goal is to be one of the best companies in creating and

providing the best quality that will fully satisfy our customers.
OBJECTIVE:

The objective of the business is to give healthy and nutritious food in

the society in order to help the customers improve their nutritional status

and be physically fit.

Our company is the Peanut-Asa company and our product is peanut

butter. It is made up of delicious peanut. This company is owned by one of

our member and we are all responsible for the expenses of our product and

we are also giving a good service for the customers.

BUSINESS AND PRODUCT POSITION

The Peanut-Asa company has a good product that made-up from

fresh and delicious peanut and it is affordable for all. Our business is placed

at the maritime canteen of the University of Cebu – Lapu-lapu and

Mandaue and we make sure that our place is always clean and easy to

locate.
WEALTH IMPROVEMENT APPROACHES

The Peanut-Asa Company is just a simple but it gives nutrients to the

people. We will make sure that the company will improve and to be known

to other schools by selling delicious peanut near their school. And after a

year, we will build branches on different public locations to expand our

business.

PARTIES SUPPORTING THE BUSINESS

The Peanut-Asa company is a sole proprietorship where we have a

support from another company that has a similar product with ours. The

same company that helped us in our business and product is owned by one

of the blood relative of our owner.

Trend in the Industry

In the food industry there are 2 types of customers, people who eat

because they are hungry and people who eat for their personal desire. That

is why we made our product more tasteful and more unique. People have

different taste buds. This is the most challenging barrier that we must face

at the start of our business. There is no assurance that people will eat your

product, but the only solution is to make them taste our product and get

their approval only then this barrier be through.

Market Share

Based on our survey, there are around 70% consumers that will buy

and eat their food inside the campus. 10% will buy street foods in different

street food stalls around. 5% independent of the given population have

their own food from their homes. 35% will eat on eateries. 30% on the

canteen which inside the university. And the other 5% buys to the bakery.

5% consumers buys at the 7-eleven. And since our business is newly open

and started only 5% consumer said to buy Peanut-Asa for their snack.

Market Position

The canteens in our campus have an average quality and an average

price in their foods. The eateries, which have the highest percentage of

shares in the market, have an average quality of products and a higher price

compared to canteens. Since canteens, eateries and street foods are the
market players, we decided to be in between them. Our business has an

average quality of product and is low priced.

Market Strategy

We disseminate our company name through free flyers and

advertisements. The place where our restaurant is located in different

areas in cebu and in the market place.

Product Description

The Peanut-Asa company is creating a Peanut butter and is made of

grind peanut, sugar and cooking oil. And is processed carefully to meet with

the taste and likes of the customers.

Equipment / Materials needed

The equipments and materials needed for our Peanut-Asa product is

grinding machine, and a cooking stove. And we use grind-peanut, sugar and

a bit of cooking oil.

Size of the business

The Peanut-Asa company belongs to a small business. But many

people buy our product which is the peanut-butter.


Personnel Requirement

The Peanut-Asa Company is only a small business. The Production

and selling of products would be handled by the owner. And when our

business grows, we will need more persons to make our products who are

capable of doing the job and people who will be doing the distribution. We

will require them to pass their NSO/Birth Certificate, Police and NBI

clearance and have a loyal service to the business. We need to ensure that

our personnel are above 18 and have a secure background and identity

defined.
ORGANIZATIONAL PLAN

Form of business organization

Mr. Peanut-Asa is a sole proprietorship. It is because one of the

members of the group is the owner of the business like our product. Unlike

partnership, having partners in business of 2 but not more than 5 persons

and for corporation it is owned by not less than 5 but not more than 15

persons.

Liability of the owner

The liability of each owner is limited liability. In which debts and

obligations of the corporations are limited to the amount of its capital

commitment.

Role of the Owner

The owner of the business must be the one who will personally

manage the business and is the one that will help to promote the business.

Finance Officer

The Finance officer of the business is the one who will manage all of

the income of the business and is the one who will hold the money.

Product Manager

The product manager will be the one who will manage in the making

and releasing of the products. He/she will be the one who will always check

for the exact ingredients of the product.

Proposed Salary

The proposed salary for our employed personnel will be at 250.00

pesos per day. Required working hours is 8 hours per day.


PRODUCTION PLAN

The business production time has a minimum of 8 hours every day.

7 am to 4 pm in the afternoon with 1 hour noon break.

Production Process

In the making of our product, first thing that we do is to grind the

peanut into very small particles then we mixed it with sugar and cooking oil

and we cooked it until it become warm and sticky then after we transferred

it to a container

Equipment Required

Some of the equipments we used in creating our products are just a

few things such as peanut grinders, cooking stove and a pan.

Some of the materials we used in making the product were only

purchased in the market place near our factory.

Evaluation of Suppliers

We let our suppliers evaluate our product and most of the answers of

our suppliers are the product is affordable, neat and clean and the

production is very fast.

Purchase Procedures

Contacting them by a telephone or land line or thru cellphone and

we will just order the kind and type of materials we need and they will just

deliver it to our factory right away.

Storage and Inventory Control

The Peanut-Asa company place their product in their own stock

house then they will just estimate the number of products to be released

for that whole day.


Sales Procedures

 Finding and Qualifying Customers

 Involves preparing for the initial contact with the potential

customers.

 Demonstrating how our product can meet the needs and

wants of the customers.


MARKETING PLAN

Product

The Peanut-Asa company is making a peanut butter.

Place

The place where we choose to place our selling area is the canteen in

the maritime building of University of Cebu – Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue.

Price

Our product can be bought in only affordable price of 20 pesos and

35 Pesos depending on the size of the container.

Promotion

We plan to have a promotion of our product in facebook by making a

page and we will have a free taste of our product in the school campus.
People

We hired people who have the abilities and responsible to do his/her

task. We made sure that they are fully equipped with knowledge and know

how to handle the customers. In this case, the success of our business is

possible with the help of our responsible and hardworking.

Packaging

The packaging of the product of the Peanut-Asa will be a small and

medium-sized container.

Positioning

The position of our business will be at the University of Cebu Lapu –

Lapu and Mandaue campus.
