Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation)’s Message

A Very Happy and Promising New Year 2020.

The ideal engineer is a composite … He is not a scientist, he is not a mathematician, he is not a

sociologist or a writer; but he may use the knowledge and techniques of any or all of these disciplines in
solving engineering problems. We are continually faced by great opportunities brilliantly disguised as
insoluble problems which demand great knowledge that require to be updated and skills that require to be
honed at every walk of life. Hence, it is important for an Engineer to never stop learning.

The year 2019 has been consecrated with great accomplishments by the Irrigation Engineers of
Telangana such as the completion of Link-I and Link-II of the prestigious Kaleshwaram Project and the
Mid Manair Project in record time, which has transformed the Riverbed of Godavari into a seemingly
grand ocean.

My regards to the TIGERS Association for bringing this useful diary to all the Irrigation
Engineers. Wishing all the members of the Telangana Irrigation Engineers Graduate Association, a Happy
New Year 2020 that brings tremendous joy and good luck for you that takes you to newer heights of
success.
