Karapatang Pantao (Human Rights)

Mula sa pagsilang ng isang indibidwal, ito ay mayroon nang karapatan.
Karapatang mabuhay, mag-aral, maging malaya, o iba pa. Ang mga karapatang
ito ay pinangangalagaan ng ating pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng mga batas na
ito:

- Bill of Rights
- may 22 na seksyon na nagpapahayag ng mga karapatan at pribilehiyo ng isang
mamamayang Pilipino na dapat protektahan ng Konstitusyon

Multiculturalism
Ang multiculturalism ay ang pilosopiyang nagtuturo ng angkop at malalim na
pagtanggap at paggalang sa pagkakaiba-iba ng tao, kulay, kultura, lenggwahe,
pangkat, o iba pa kaya naman ang pamahalaaan ay naglaan ng mga batas upang
maisakatuparan ito

The 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines – Article XIV

- Section 14. The State shall foster the preservation, enrichment, and dynamic
evolution of a Filipino national culture based on the principle of unity in diversity in
a climate of free artistic and intellectual expression.
- Section 17. The State shall recognize, respect, and protect the rights of indigenous
cultural communities to preserve and develop their cultures, traditions, and
institutions. It shall consider these rights in the formulation of national plans and
policies.

Diskriminasyon
Sa panahon ngayon, masasabi nating talamak ang dami ng mga taong biktima ng
diskriminasyon. Marami ang nahuhusgahan sa kanilang kulay, lahi, seksuwalidad,
at marami pang mga kadahilanan. Ang pamahalaan ay nagbigay importansya sa
pangangalaga ng dignidad ng mga tao kaya ipinatupad ang mga batas na ito:

- an act strengthening the prohibition on discrimination against women with respect
to terms and conditions of employment, amending for the purpose article one
hundred thirty-five of the labor code, as amended

Prostitusyon
Tulad ng diskriminasyon, ang prostitusyon ay talamak parin hanggang ngayon.
Maaaring hindi natin nararanasan, pero maraming tao ang nagiging biktima nito.
Upang mapangalagaan ang katauhan ng mga mamamayan, lalo na ang mga babae,
ipinatupad ng pamahaalan ang ilang mga batas na ito:

Republic Act No. 3815 – Article 202

- Prostitutes; Penalty. – For the purposes of this article, women who, for money or
profit, habitually indulge in sexual intercourse or lascivious conduct, are deemed
to be prostitutes.

 - an act to institute policies to eliminate trafficking in persons especially women and
children, establishing the necessary institutional mechanisms for the protection
and support of trafficked persons, providing penalties for its violations, and for other

- an act decriminalizing vagrancy, amending for this purpose Article 202 of RA

- an act expanding RA 9208, entitled "an act to institute policies to eliminate
trafficking in persons especially women and children, establishing the necessary

Seksuwalidad (Sexuality)
Ang seksuwalidad ng isang tao ay sumasalamin sa pisikal, emosyonal, sosyal, at
espiritwal na pag-uugali at nararamdaman niya. Ito ay isang bagay na ibinigay sa
atin upang maisakatuparan ang karapatan na pumili kung ano ang nais nating
maging para sa ating sarili. At upang matuto tayong respetuhin ito, ito ang ilan sa
mga batas na ipinatupad ng pamahalaan:

- an act declaring sexual harassment unlawful in the employment, education or
training environment, and for other purposes

Reproductive Health Law
Mabuting ating alagaan ang mga sarili natin lalong lalo na ang kalusugan natin at
magkaroon tayo ng malay o kaalaman tungkol sa ating reproductive health na isang
sangkap sa pagpapadami ng populasyon ng ating bansa
