Revised Title: (Binagong title ng panel)

The Financial Management Practices as determinant of Financial Problem among families in Shs

Rationale/Purpose of the Study: (Bakit dapat pag-aralan)

1. To determine the attitude of parents when it comes to finances

2. To examine if they'll parents have an enough knowledge to manage their money

3. To investigate how parents handle their money

Supporting Theories: (Name of theory and Name of Proponents)

This study is supported by this theory the “Family Resources Management” as stated by
Deacon and Firebaugh (2010) the family resource management model demonstrates that decision
making includes related successions begun by inputs and proceeded by throughput, output and
the feedback to the inputs. Parotta and Johnson (2011) changes that model by characterizing
financial knowledge as the input, financial management behaviors and financial attitudes as two
subsystems of the throughput. This is called financial management conceptual framework to
examine the effects of financial attitude and financial knowledge on financial management
behaviors.

Revised Statement of the Problem:

This study aims for a better understanding of the parents attitude towards money. In terms of
giving importance of money in their daily lives. It answer the following.

Questions Below:

1. What are the effect of money attitude of parents in terms of financing to the students?

2. What are the visible changes that can be seen from the parents if they’ll have lack of financial
knowledge in handling their finances?

3. What is the importance of money to the parents?

METHODOLOGY

Research Design: This study will be using quantitative descriptive correlation to determine the
money attitude of parents in managing resources by the respond of the Senior high school of
Vicente P. Trinidad National High School.

Sampling Technique: The simple random sampling is used in this study that each of the member
has an equal chance of being selected as subject. Simple random sampling is also an example of
probability sampling that the specific advantage of it is the most straight forward method of
probability sampling. In this study the researcher decides what are information needed.

Sample Size: The respondents of this research are the Senior high school students in Vicente P
Trinidad National high school as their represent their parents that will respondents is 100
individuals that will take our study seriously.

Research Instrument: The researcher will use survey questionnaire as research instrument in
gathering data and information from the respondent. Survey questionnaire will be used as
research instrument of this study for it study for it researcher use the appropriate tool for
gathering the data and information in a quantitative research.

Statistical tools: Pearson’s correlation coefficient also referred to as Pearson's is the test statistics
that measures the statistical relationship, or association, between two continuous variables. It is
known as the best method of measuring the association between variables of interest because it is
based on the method of covariance. It gives information about the magnitude of the association,
or correlation, as well as the direction of the relationship. The data will be treated using
correlation coefficient (Pearson R). It is a testing of the relationship between the categories,
variables and its null hypothesis (Ho) which represents the relationship with the independent
variables such as categorical variables in the population.
