Client : Expat Life Insurance Company

DESCRIPTION:

The Expat life Insurance is a leading regional provider of Property and Casualty insurance products for
individuals, families and businesses. The Expat offers a wide range of Property and Casualty products and
services through an extensive network of Independent Agents.

Expat Claim Policy aims at providing the business with complete financial and non-financial information
of the claims. On a daily basis, the claims’ data fed thru the online system is stored in VSAM files. After
the office hours, the CICS system is brought down and the batch system is run. The batch system
processes, formats and loads claims’ data into DB2 database.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Reviewing of Analysis, Design, Code and Test reports.
• Coding – Coding new components and coding for maintenance issues.
• Support, enhancement and maintenance of existing applications.
• Developed and modified JCL, and Proc’s.
• Developed COBOL DB2 programs with embedded SQL.
• Preparation of test plan and implementation of testing.

PROJECT #2 : Traveling Policy Processing System

Duration : Sep ’07 to Mar’09.
Client : Barclays

Description:

Barclays is a leading financial institution offering banking, insurance and other financial products to its
customers. It operates in USA, UK, Africa, Asia and Australia. It offers insurance products like life and
general (Auto, Household, Travel and Business insurance).

This application as a batch and online system to provide the customer with complete and valid policy
data. This application handles travel insurance data for both single and annual trip. It also does a
verification process and makes the error or incomplete policy data available through the online system.

Role : Team Member
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Involvement in Requirement, Design, Construction
• Developed COBOL DB2 programs with embedded SQL.
