I did a presentation on why the minimum wage should be raised.

I talked about how it’ll

save the government money, fairly compensating the working people, and decreases the poverty

rate .

I prepared my presentation by building up my confidence first. Not being confident in

myself can have a negative impact on my overall presentation. I also wrote my slides on index

cards with some extra things to speak about. Before I presented I read out my index cards out

loud to myself.

I believe I did good on my presentation. I didn't mess up a lot, I read loud enough so they

can hear me, and I made eye contact with the judges. The overall project I did good because I

believe I put all the key points and facts that needed to be heard.

Something I would've done differently is I should’ve done some hours for my SLE. I

should’ve taken some time to help people learn more about why raising the minimum wage is

important.
