Fred Auletta: Planned Town Halls

When starting this campaign for Second District Commissioner I was asked what was the most important thing a
Commissioner did. While a commissioner’s responsibilities are many and varied, being committed to working for, and
truly representing, the Citizens of District 2 comes first and foremost.

Listening as much as talking will help me represent their best interests. That is why I have been walking as many houses
as I can the past 10 weeks…to hear the issues and concerns of the people. I only wish this process did not take so long
and more time was available to reach more people. When elected, I will continue this listening process by holding
quarterly Town Hall meetings. These meetings will be used to inform everyone about what has gone on the past
quarter and what will be going on in the future in the Second District and the County. This will be the perfect forum for
question and answer sessions, to correct misinformation or confusing information, and to let people know the facts.

These townhalls are a vital two-way process to help me keep informed about citizen concerns, so my commission voting
on issues is honest, above-board and represents the voice of our people. I look forward to being a true representative of
our citizens through open, transparent and responsive leadership.

Henry’s District 2 Runoff Election

Queries from the Henry Times

The Times reported that Herman Talmadge did not respond to the questions. Below are the full responses provided by
Fred Auletta:

What is your overall desire for Henry County? For District 2?

Overall, I would like Henry County to be viewed as a productive county which takes care of its citizens, has a great
infrastructure, is environmentally-conscious, looks "clean," and attracts high-level businesses. Regarding District 2, my
desires aren't the important issue. The desires of District 2 citizens are the important thing here. Walking houses in the
district during the past ten weeks and listening to their desires shows me they want a responsive commissioner. We,
as elected officials, have to let our citizens know we listen and respond; taking care of their roads, their parks, our
senior citizens, and all the other issues that require attention. And we do this without raising taxes, without waste,
within budget and we bring jobs, jobs, jobs to Henry County. Finally, if I had to say I have a desire, it would be to
ensure our children, our seniors and all our citizens have the best quality of life possible, and their County Government
helps make that possible.
How does your background make you the best candidate for District 2 Commissioner?

As mentioned above, I listen. And I respond. I am an ethical, detailed-oriented person who asks questions
and studies the issues to insure I make the best, most cost-effective decisions. I have had to do this in my
own business and in working with many companies. My business skills, extensive strategic planning, financial
management and budgeting experience, involvement in jobs creation, and team building for over forty years
provide the skills that are needed to help govern Henry County. My background brings solutions to problems
and recognizes opportunities. These are honest skills I will bring from day one, to work with the other
Commissioners so we can collectively produce the results that most benefit the county, and do this in a quick
and efficient manner.

What are the concerns you see with District 2 and how can you help solve them? What are the positive
things you see with District 2?

The most concerning thing to me has been finding the number of unemployed citizens we have, the diminished quality of
life for those who are working outside the county, and the struggles our seniors are experiencing with a fixed income and
rising living expenses. Although everyone is concerned with their reduced home values and property taxes, they really
are more concerned with having a job to pay their bills.

Among the positive things we could have done to help our seniors and under-income people was to utilize the stimulus
money that was available to weatherize their homes. This could have helped with their rising utility bills. I will work to
make sure our citizens are informed of available organizations and programs to assist them in these tough times. I will
work with the commissioners, economic development authority, our existing businesses, and county staff to insure we
are putting full focus on what we can do to attract companies/jobs to Henry County. My background and experience
brings much to the table to assist in marketing the county to create new business growth.

On the positive side, Henry has a great proximity to the busiest airport in the world, beautiful countryside to live in, a
proactive water and sewer authority, ample acreage off I-75 to build facilities and offices for high paying jobs, an award
winning comprehensive land use and transportation plan, a ready supply of quality health care providers and most
importantly, a motivated work force. And the most positive thing I see about District 2 is the people who live here. They
have a sincere love for this county and a strong desire to see it improve. They will be the source of input to keep me
grounded in understanding issues that affect them and help me be a commissioner they can trust, rely on and get
results.

Fred Auletta

Dear Citizen,

The purpose of this email is to note the following observations:

1.) I noted with amusement the endorsements that Mr. Talmadge received, with the implied message that this "would
foster better communication with the Georgia State Legislature and other branches of government." I wanted to make
sure that you and our constituents realize that most of these elected representatives will not be returning to their elected
offices and/or they are retired.

Fred Auletta's endorsements have come from fellow employees, friends and the "little guys."

“You may fool all the people some of the time, you can even fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool
all of the people all the time.” Abraham Lincoln

Fred gets my nod on this one!

2.) There are some folks that feel that being "born and raised in District 2" is synonymous with being successful as a
district commissioner. Nothing could be farther from the truth. As a matter of fact in the last fifteen years (maybe more)
no commissioner has been born and raised here.

During the period of 1996-2004, Mr. Gary Freedman had the honor of serving the people of District 2. He hailed from
Michigan; and did an honorable job. In today's "tea party times," the resounding theme that voters are clamoring for are
duty, honor, integrity, frugality, trust, ; and faith in God.

"I tremble for my country when I hear of confidence expressed in me. I know too well my weakness; that our only hope
is in God." Robert E. Lee

Fred gets my nod on this one!

3.) While one political camp fully embraces the word "radical right conservatism," one wonders what that actually
means. Historically, District 2 has always been a little "right of center" with it's voting patterns; but the constituency has
always valued difference and progress; especially if it has involved more jobs and less taxes. It has also reached out to
those who have offered "down to earth" solutions to tough problems.

District 2 constituents have always had a warm and tender feeling for its military veterans. And there has always been a
tremendous outpouring of "southern hospitality" to each and every newcomer to the area. We not only encourage it; we
live for it.

I believe Fred Auletta recognizes this also. He has reached out to all with an economic evangelical fervor. He wants more
jobs for the area. He wants lower taxes; and more higher education facilities (especially vocational training). And to do
this, Fred wants to reach out to all. He wants to put the most qualified and respected on the various committees that
represent these areas. He wants to work with his fellow commissioners to bring about the necessary synergies that will
make our county prosper.

In short, Fred has a "can do" attitude. He can make a difference!

"A people free to choose will always choose peace." Ronald Reagan

Again, Fred gets my nod on this one!

We are living in difficult times. And difficult times require strong and decisive leadership. As a former military veteran
and current business leader, I believe that Fred Auletta is eminently qualified to help lead our county through these
difficult times.

I ask you to join me, and many of our other fellow citizens to support Fred Auletta for District 2 commissioner. He will do
us proud!

Thanks and Merry Christmas,

Mike Lustri

Fred Auletta is a Patriot

Fred Auletta is a District 2 candidate for the Henry County Board of Commissioners. With the runoff election coming this
Tuesday I’d like to share some reasons why I think Fred is an excellent candidate for this position.

One thing I can say about Fred is that he is a patriot. He is a Marine who fought for us in Vietnam. Anyone who is willing
to take up arms and defend our nation has my immediate respect! In civilian life, Fred has been successful as a
businessman. He knows what it takes to create jobs, which is something that Henry County needs. He has a keen mind
for numbers and is able to quickly comprehend complex issues.

Fred is very involved in the local community, delivering Meals on Wheels, serving on the board of the Haven House (a
home for battered and abused women), and is active in his local church. He is open, honest, and a man of integrity.
Because of his life experiences and involvement in the community, Fred has a good sense of the needs of Henry County.
He is willing to listen to anyone and everyone without being judgmental. That’s why so many of the citizens of Henry
have endorsed him.

We have a lot of pressing needs in Henry County. It will take a man like Fred Auletta to help find solutions that will work.
I am glad to call Fred my friend and hope that you will consider him when you go to vote in the runoff election!

Sincerely,

Tommy Kennedy

Herman Talmadge For District 2 Commissioner

I believe that Mr. Talmadge is the most qualified candidate in this race for a few reasons.

First Mr. Talmadge has lived in the County all his life and knows the problems the County has faced in the passed and
how they got those problems under control.
Number two Mr. Talmadge has worked in the real estate field for years he has dealt directly with people and their
problems with money to help them get a home lone and handle their assets. This will make him more qualified to deal
with the problems on the County level so as not to adversely affect the citizens of the County. Being a native of the
County Mr. Talmadge knows the importance of its rich history and will not need to be filled in like Mr. Auletta would have
to be in order to preserve the history. When it is all said and done Mr. Talmadge is the only choice for the voters in
district two to make, it’s that simple folks.

Fred Auletta vs. Herman Talmadge III

By TheDoctor

At first glance one would think the title is about two wrestlers ready to do battle in the ring. But when you look at them
you know that is not the case. Mr. Auletta has all the attributes of a front man in a business. The styled speech, the hair,
the clothes are all presenting a well to do man. Mr. Auletta is a very smart man who knows how to handle a major
corporation. He knows the numbers. He lives in Eagles Brooke.

Mr. Talmadge is a more laid back gentleman from a well known family. Not even with the Talmadge family, but here
in Henry County his mother was a Welch. Herman has always been connected to the State House and with the
Republican Party as a Conservative for many years now. He has his own business dealing with real estate and getting
loans for people wanting to buy a home. He lives at the family estate with his father which is one of the oldest homes in
the area.

Between the two men you will find that Mr. Talmadge has been a part of the Henry County community all his life. People
know him locally and at the State House. This could be a good asset to the people of Henry County.

Mr. Auletta has been here about 15 years now. He married a local lady who is from an old Henry County family being the
Moss family. Fred came in and made Bennett Trucking into Bennett International and making the lady who owns the
company very rich. Fred can see the numbers and Herman knows how to use the numbers.

This Tuesday is the run-off for these two men in District 2.

It is your choice if you live in that area. Please get out and vote for one or the other, but please vote.

Interview With Dr. Mike Moon About Mr. Herman Talmadge III

I recently interviewed a long time friend of the Talmadge Family (Dr. Mike Moon) who explained to me where Herman
gets his background from.

Herman’s great grandfather was Eugene Talmadge long time Governor of the State of Georgia. His Grandfather Herman
Eugene Talmadge and his wife Betty lived in the old Crawford House that was bought as a present for them. Today it is
known as the Crawford-Talmadge Home sitting upon land surrounded by development in Lovejoy, Ga.

Miss Betty was well loved in the community while her husband Herman served as United States Senator for nearly two
decades from Georgia. Dr. Moon remembered going to events at the house usually revolving around the Civil War. The
home was used as the Headquarters of General John Bell Hood CSA for two weeks in September 1864. Miss Betty
instilled in her grandson Herman Talmadge III the essence of being close to one’s community. Even his father Eugene
Talmadge and his mother Gail Welch Talmadge Notti expressed in Herman the need to be community oriented and to
learn what people needed.

As you all know Ms. Notti is on the City Council of McDonough and she has been on many groups to help make the areas
where she lives more useful, but not stepping on history. She was part of Historic Clayton for years. Herman also has
the gift of being a good speaker like her brother Andrew “Buddy” Welch. Recently, Herman’s cousin Andrew Welch was
voted in as Representative of the 110th District.

Herman Talmadge III went to college at UGA and came home to run his own business in real-estate, and other land
issues. Herman knows the problems people are experiencing in the community from the bad economy first hand. His
knowledge of being a leader in the community for sometime now has given him the base he needs to help the second
district of Henry County.

DAVIS ENDORSES HERMAN TALMADGE FOR DISTRICT 2

Herman Talmadge, leading candidate for District 2 County Commissioner, announced the endorsement of Conservative
Representative Steve Davis (R-109). Representative Davis is the current chairman of the Henry County Delegation to the
Georgia General Assembly and the senior most legislator from Henry County.

Talmadge received this endorsement after coming in first place on the November 2nd general election. His race is
currently in a run off scheduled for November 30th.

“Herman and I agree, we want our county government small, property values high, and taxes low,“ Davis stated, “I
believe that Herman is the only candidate that can deliver conservative solutions to the problems facing District 2.”

With Representative Davis’ endorsement Herman Talmadge has received the endorsement of every Republican that
represents Henry County in the Georgia General Assembly. Representative Davis serves as the Chairman of the Henry
County Legislative Delegation and his endorsement tops off a clean sweep for Talmadge of all the Republicans in the
delegation.

Representative Davis is the 5th prominent conservative leader to endorse Herman Talmadge after Republican
Congressman Mac Collins, Senator John Douglas (R-17), John Lunsford (R-110), John Yates (R-73).

Wrong Said Fred:

“Business Experience?”

Regarding Fred Auletta’s business acumen, why does someone pay $400.00 for a FREE service?

If Fred Auletta cannot run his own Facebook, how can he run the county?

“Disagreeing Agreeably with Conservatives”

Fred Auletta seems to “disagree agreeably” with conservative in every election. In his 2008 chairman’s race he was the
only candidate out of 6 that supported bringing commuter rail to Henry County, which that was rejected by the voters.

Fast forward to 2010,Fred finds himself “disagreeing agreeably” with conservatives again when he supported Tax
Allocation Districts (TADs) claiming, “TADs are just another tool in the toolbox.” Henry County said NO:

Out of touch?

District 2 voters do not want any more taxation, they want less. This means no TADs and Trains. The Henry County
Commission does not need anymore “Tools in the Toolbox,” Fred.

The Michael & Linda Moon Van Fund

Most of you know that Mike & Linda Moon’s van was stolen from the Wal-Mart parking lot in Stockbridge two weeks
ago. The van was needed to transport Mike and his wheelchair/scooter. Without it the family is placed in a situation of
real need.

It was a 1986 Chevy van and they had only liability insurance. No word of discovery has come from the police. We
must consider the vehicle a loss.

Several people have expressed a desire to help raise money to replace the van. We are trying to raise $3,000 as this is
the maximum value allowed by SSI rules. This is a call to join that effort.
