ABSTRACT

Based from the results of the Diagnostic exams last June 16, 2016 and

June 8, 2017, and Summative exams last March 23, 2017 and March 13,

2018, the least learned competency is LC code S9FE-IVa-34 which was

discussed in Science 9 Fourth Quarter Module 1. School Year 2016-2017

diagnostic and summative exams were conducted by Phoebe Joy M. Pacut-

Lopez (T1) while Ms. Rheaneza A. Loon, CE, (T2) for SY 2017-2018. Results

are stipulated on the Accomplishment Reports in Science for SY 2016-2017

and 2017-2018. Both teachers conducted a Focused Group Discussion

among science 9 learners and elicited Voice of the Customers (VOCs),

achieving more responses in the intervention of multimedia learning, which

concluded to the development and tryout of the Physics Active Learning

through teacher-made vlogs on Classical Mechanics.

The procedure in the data gathering consists of two stages: the

development stage and preparatory stage. The development stage

(November 5 to December 14, 2018) included the organization, construction

and production of the readily available compact discs (CD) where the teacher-

made vlogs were saved. The preparatory phase (December 17, 2018 to

January 31, 2019) involved the evaluation of the vlogs in terms of content,

instructional plan, and technical production by the content, education, and ICT

experts.

Based from the mean score of the pre-test and post-test, the post-test

average score has gained an increase of 12.92 score from the pre-test

average score. The pre-test mean score of 4.46 with a standard deviation of
8.03 means that the students yield low scores for minimal knowledge about

the topics. After the intervention, the post-test mean score of 17.38 with a

standard deviation of 2.07 means that students have now unified knowledge

about the topics.

In the success of the conducted intervention, the researcher would like to

recommend in creating more teacher-made vlogs based on the unpacked

competencies for learning code S9FE-IVa-34.
