THE TEACHING PROFESSION

1. Assuming that you are now a teacher, how will you project to your pupils that you
really serve as a positive role model?
 A role model is a person who inspires and encourages us to strive for greatness,
live to our fullest potential and see the best in ourselves. A role model is someone
we admire and someone we aspire to be like.
As a teacher, I will serve as a positive role model to my pupils by influencing them
in a way that I can affect their beliefs or possibly change their outlook on life. At
their young age, they should be taught about good manners and right conduct.
Children may want to imitate the desirable traits they see in role models, so I as
their teacher, must also possess these skills to be able for them to look up on me
as a good mentor. I will also perform the prescribed duties of a teacher like being
punctual, presentable in terms of how I dress (wearing proper uniform), makes
lesson plan every day, be polite to subordinates and always be submissive to the
superiors. I promise to do everything to the best of my ability in shaping their views,
ideals, and actions to help them discover how they wish to become in the future.
2. As a teacher, what ways can you create to make the learning environment
conducive to your pupils?
 Developing a classroom environment conducive to learning process of pupils is
very important. As a teacher, I can make it possible using this ways:
The security and safety of these children must be ensured. Whether we
are working on giving students writing help or doing simple tests, a safe
environment will always be more conducive than any other.
Beautification of Classroom a teacher must use every possible area of
the room to create an atmosphere that encourages participation and
learning. The physical space includes the layout and arrangement of the
desks or tables, the placement of equipment, and items on the bulletin
boards and walls. It may also include the seating arrangement of the pupils.
Encouraging pupils to cooperate is one of the most challenging aspects
of maintaining a neat and organized environment that is conducive to
 learning. As a facilitator, you should clearly define the rules and routines of
activities and classes. Correcting undesirable behaviors from time to time
may also help the learning process.
Communication- focusing on relationship between learner and facilitator.
As a teacher, you need to lead your students by example. Displaying a
caring attitude toward each student will encourage them to treat each other
with the same attitude. Dealing with conflict in a caring and understanding
manner will have the same effect. You need to encourage all learners to
treat each other with respect and care, because this promotes a positive
learning environment and can improve collaboration among students.

3. How will you facilitate the learning process with diverse learners?
 Learners are complex and multifaceted so it is hard on how to deal with them. First,
I will know my student’s culture. How their culture affects their perceptions, self-
esteem, values, classroom behavior and learning. Then I will understand their
linguistic traits, this includes their dialect. Lastly, I will know my student’s home and
school relationship through collaboration with parents and the community.
