Your reality is based upon the things you see, hear and believe.

Interestingly it is also made up of

the many things you do not want to see or believe, the voices you don’t wish to hear or the
numerous other things that you can’t even dare to think about.

Yes you heard me right !!! I don’t want to be a GIRL anymore. And I think that every lady in this
planet would have gone through this thought at least once in their life. But for me this feeling is
almost submerged in my mind. We are the weaker gender, people deny it or not, we are.

You blame it on society, misogyny or the men. Not all the men , but the ones who see us only as a
property to be sold or exploited. The ratio can be minimal or more but the hard truth is the trend has
never changed. We are still in the world where we, the woman are killed as soon as we are born,
just because we are US , THE WOMAN BREED.

Being strong for a woman is not an option but a necessity. This is so true in our lives. I will tell you
why--- we carry a life inside us for 9 months, we are the ones who manage the house, chores and
work, we bleed every month but still seen as a mark of impurity in spite of it being a natural
mechanism of our body.

We are meant to do multi tasking, we are supposed to be dedicated and hear the house members
needs all the time, it’s quite essential for us to be with our kid when they are born throughout the day
putting all our dreams and career behind & the list goes on ann on.
And the biggest reality is ---- whatever we achieve in our life doesn’t matter a bit, if we are not able to
cook a meal for the day … I am still recovering from the deep thought of how our mothers would
have endured these without making much fuss, without any exposure… but yet remain sane and be
a pillar of support for the whole family.

Now a days a joke has evolved that in the married life, wives are dominant…even being creepy,
juvenile and dump .., they are demanding and controlling. This really seems to be a funny joke to
me.
We want to walk with our heads held high , but we run to the kitchen the next moment when
husband screams for a coffee.

My point is why is this constant unfair treatment between men and women even now?? Why is men
celebrated and acknowledged to the to the level of a nobel prize if they make meal for a day
whereas women are treated like nothing even if they do the same work for all days through out the
year, as if they are born to only cook, do chores and do what their men say or wish. Most of the
daughters are brought up in their home in a way that they can serve better for their husband.
We are in a world where even a girl infant is unsafe and become a victim of sexual harassment. In
Bangladesh everday 13 girls are being victimized. Even in America 1 out of every 6 woman has
been the victim of rape or attempted to be raped in her life time.

This scenario will never change until we decided to be changed. Let’s take some time to celebrate
all the woman who survive through fighting their own battles without giving up. Let’s teach our son to
respect woman for what they are. Let’s bring a change through them and make this planet safe and
sound to live in.

Men and women are abundant, humanity is rare. Let’s be a human first and gender next.
