a) Surface Preparation.
To obtain a uniform, adherent surface, the steel should be clean &
uncontaminated.
b) Method of application.
Under PCC of Plinth & grade slab in plant building.
After the site clearance, the application shall immediately begin by
first preparing and mixing the solutions of approved anti termite
material diluted with water as per manufacturer’s recommendation.
The top surface of consolidated earth within plinth wall shall be
treated with chemical emulsion at the rate of 4-5 litre/m2 of the
surface before the sand bed or subgrade is laid. If the filled earth has
been well rammed and surface does not allow the emulsion to seep
through, holes up to 50-75 mm deep at 150c/c both ways may be
made with 12mm Dia mild steel rod on the surface to facilitate the
saturation of the soil with chemical emulsion.
