What are the reasons and motivations why you’d like to apply to Rolls-Royce and that

particular programme?

Your company stood out when I was researching the leading sustainable energy producer
companies in the world. I am aware of your dedication to the development of cutting-edge
technologies and projects that search the independence of fossil fuel by manufacturing brand
new products. As a young person concerned about the future, I have a mayor worry about the
great issue that is environment preservation and climate change that´s why I would like to
apply for a Summer Internship with your company in the Manufacturing Engineering Summer
Internship Programme, that contemplates the development of sustainable ways to produce
aircraft engine components, considering my competences in design, test materials and data
analytics, that could help to optimize the process to achieve a better future.

In addition, I realised how important Ethics are for you. It is encouraging how you put ethics
ahead, and make people in your company feel welcomed and appreciated. I strongly think that
is the foundation to make workers feel fulfilled with their performance. Communicational skills
are one of your main pillars, indeed, through my experiences as a spoke-person in the
“Conference of Particles Physics for Senior High-school students” organized by the Theorical
Physics and Space Department of Granada University and the “Scientist Exhibition” opened to
the public in Congress Palace in Seville, I valued the art-making of transmitting information
accurately.

In my experience in developing the cover of an Ornithopter UAV with a 3D-Creality Ender Pro
printer I can ensure that brand-new materials in UAVs could optimize their use. In my research,
I gladly noticed that you are opening an exciting new market in aerospace for electric vertical
take-off and landing vehicles, or EVTOLs, by a combination of new electrical and autonomous
technologies. I believe that line of investigation you are proposing has a great future.
What interests or skills do you have outside of university and how can you apply that to your
desired role at Rolls-Royce?

I am a curious and agile person. I decided to search for my own the education that my
University could give me, mostly digital and language skills they lacked. While I was studying
the Degree, I enrolled in an Official Language School in which I coursed English and French. I
fiercely believe that having a high level in languages is a must to apply for a job in any field, in
order to feel integrated in your work environment.
Regarding digital skills, during the Degree I studied Python Programming and CATIA Design
through online tutorials on my own. In order to settle these abilities, I took courses, such as the
Python and Machine Learning course I am currently taking.
In addition, I am familiar with 3D-printing as a hobby, thus I own a 3D-Ender Pro Printer, and
through online manuals I have been able to find the accurate PLA filament to work with and
how to settle the parameters according to the specifications of the part I designed in CATIA V5.

I am also an easy-going and respectful person, as well as selfless. I really enjoy inspiring other
people, since I´m the eldest daughter of three and I have to take care of my siblings as well as
teaching them school lessons. I admire eldest people the most because I think they are a true
source of wisdom and I try to learn as much as I can from them. In a company, striving to learn
from your partners and employers respectfully is the way to create positive feedback.

I really value team-work experiences, because in a great international country as well as in life in
general, the power of great minds working together can overcome anything, as we were a family.
