10 Release Notes

VeriFire Tools 9.10 is the next generation programming and test utility for supporting the IFC-320, IFC2-640,
IFC2-3030, JNCA-2, DVC-RPU, JDVC and associated DAA, DAA2 and DAX amplifiers, and DS-DB. VeriFire Tools
version 9.10 upgrade provides a security feature which requires the user (technician, programmer, etc) to
have an active license to perform online functions; such as upload/download. Unlicensed users will have
access to all offline functions; such as editing device labels or running reports.

VeriFire Tools version 9.10 supports the following Operating Systems/Platforms:

 Windows 7 Professional/Ultimate 32 and 64 bit editions

 Windows 8 & 8.1 Professional/Enterprise 32 and 64 bit editions
 Windows 10 Professional/Enterprise 32 and 64 bit editions
 Windows Surface Pro 3 Tablet

When upgrading the Windows® Operating System (OS) of computers with software programs such as
VeriFire Tools installed, Microsoft and Honeywell recommends uninstalling the program prior to upgrading
the OS, and then reinstall the programs after the upgrade has been successfully performed. This practice will
help ensure the correct USB driver files are installed and available for use with applicable hardware and that
the application performs reliably.

VeriFire Tools 9.10 provides the following features and fixes:

 IFC Series version 25 Firmware

 Support for ULC-S527-11
o New “Canada” Regional Settings added for IFC2-3030, JNCA-2, and JDVC version 8
o Drill Mode setting renamed to Alarm Signal Mode when in “Canada” Regional Setting
o Enhanced DCC Operation in special function zone ZF36
o Enhanced Two-Stage operation
 Automatic Alarm Signal Cancel in Two-Stage in Special Function Zone ZF39
 Special function zone 37 activation indicating first stage timer is running
 Special function zone 38 activation indicating when in second stage
o When the fire panel is silenced by an auto silence event, special function zone ZF40 will be
activated
 Corrects issue with programming Security and Supervisory relays on IFC2-3030
 Corrects issue with no Type Code labels and modules incorrect field population in NFPA reports
 Corrects error message when entering a logic zone in the 9th CBE position of a secure/access point
 Corrects issue outlined in Technical Bulletin TB16-01-01
o Generating blank report through UDACT-2 Central Station Report for the IFC-320 and IFC2-
640 systems.
 Corrects issue outline in Technical Bulletin TB16-07-01
o VeriFire Tools Auto Poulate feature in the UDACT-2 assigns incorrect Event Codes to central
station

User must select the appropriate Panel Database Version when creating a new database. Use the ‘Panel's
Database Version' drop down box to select the correct version.
