How Verabar Works
28
Verabar's Non-Clog Design
• Low-pressure ports located on sensor sides virtually
eliminate clogging and produce an extremely stable signal
29
Accelabar Design
The INLET is a Transmitter
patented torroidal
radius that accelerates RTD (Optional)
and conditions the flow Verabar
to produce a linear
velocity profile
The DIFFUSER is a
gradual increase in
the diameter to
reduce the permanent
pressure loss

AMF Principle of Operation
Simply stated…
The operation of an electromagnetic
flowmeter, or mag meter, is based
upon Faraday's Law which states
that the voltage induced across any
conductor as it moves at right angles
through a magnetic field is
proportional to the velocity of that
conductor
The faster water flows through the
magnetic field, the greater the voltage

conductor
*Pipe must be full
Electrodes
*Media must have
conductivity ≥ 5μs/cm
49
Mag Meter Characteristics
• Excellent turndown (Typically 100:1 or more)
• Lower straight run requirements (5 up, 2 down)
• Accuracy +/- 0.5% of reading or better
• Low to moderate cost on lines from 1/2” to 80”
• Low maintenance
• Conductive Liquids only (≥ 5μs/cm)
• BTU System Available
• Multiple Outputs
• Integral Display - 14°F~176°F
• Remote Display - 14°F~400°F (Liner Dependent)
• Pressure – 0-362 PSIG (Size Dependent)
50

• Multiple outputs: 4-20 mA, pulse, relay, RS232, or RS485/MODBUS
• Optional HART or PROFIBUS communication interface
• Self-diagnosing capability to minimize operational downtime
• All meters come with certificate of calibration and are wet calibrated at the factory, 2 Year Warranty
• Available BTU system with insert/clamp on RTD’s (4 wire, platinum, matched)
• Integral/Remote displays (2 Line LCD display)
51
AUF Principle of Operation
Transducers measure the transmission time of ultrasonic signal both with and against
flow. The time differential proportional to velocity of liquid.
