REFLECTION

I choose this topic because it is very suitable for doing many activities in the
course. Since it is not an abstract subject, it will be very convenient for teachers
and students to tell the subject with money. In Teaching Activities [ASSURE
(Utilize Technology, Media, and Materials and Require Learner Participation)]
parts, I spend my most of the time to determine which activity will most useful
for students. Because it is very important to design an effective activity for
students to learn the subject. First, I analyzed the students' prerequisite skills and
more by observing them. I also followed the national curriculum very carefully
in order to learn their prerequisite skills correctly. I also followed the national
curriculum while setting the time schedule of the lesson plan. When writing
objectives. At the end of this topic, I looked at the achievements to be getting
from the national curriculum. I also empathize by putting myself in the place of
students. While I deciding instructional methods, media and materials, I thought
what kind of materials would attract the most attention of the students and what
kind of materials may best suit to the content of the course. My instructional
activities are based on Cooperative Learning and Discovery Learning theories.
For the reason by using these theories, students will have the ability to think at a
high level and learn where knowledge comes from. As they don't see
mathematics as a rule-oriented, they will love math and they will not be afraid of
mathematics. I utilize these instructional methods, media and materials in the
activity time and in most of the areas of lesson. Since I integrate technology into
the course, these teaching methods, media and materials are used first to
introduce the course, then to explain the subject, and finally to summarize the
subject at the end of the course. I planned individual learning activities for
learner participation. To do this, the teacher distributes worksheet which include
lots of different money problems for each students. Also the teacher will give
homework for each student. As a homework, the teacher conducts a survey
(from the Google Forms) to assess the effectiveness of the lesson. Students'
answers in problems and survey will be a tool to evaluate the effectiveness of
the course as a result of the observation of the teacher. Purpose of choosing this
measurement and evaluation method that teacher observation most powerful and
conclusive way to assess both achievement of students and lesson.
