150 calendar days.

of the school year 2019-2020 will be
the opening of the said BEFF building
in Aritao National High School to be
used by the school’s staff and students
under the administration of School
Principal IV Rodrigo C. Rosete.#

With the theme of “Unearthing Aritao National High School Cultural Identity through Unifying Diversities and Showcasing of Skills and Tal-
ents”, the school-based Teen Week Celebration 2019 was set to unfold as the ANHS students assembled to celebrate the said event, February 25 to March 1.

The Grade 10 and 12 of the Aritao National High School
(ANHS) celebrated their last days before moving up and graduation cere-
monies through the Junior and Senior’s Ball held at the school’s gymnasi-
um on the last day of the Teen Week Celebration, March 1.
Right after the grand entrance of every participants, the Tribute to Parents fol-
lowed. The students gave tokens to their beloved parents. They also rendered a song entitled
“Ang Awit ng Anak sa Magulang” to express their gratitude and immediately tailed by a
speech of response given by the chosen representative of their parents, Rebecca Cayabyab.
Guest Speaker Alyssa Mae Padura delivered her inspiring message to all the stu-
dents. She told her story of how she prevailed against the obstacles she had been through and
managed to be a successful Engineer in the Department of Public Works and Highways.

name it. Aritao National High School
is composed of several influential
students whom are worthy of recog-
nition. Among the 2.5k students of
ANHS, these students stand out and
are portrayed as potential role models
in their own way. Heads turn to their
direction when they walk through
the crowd and others are automati-
cally aware of what they are capable
of with just the sound of their names
and sight of their faces. They are the
perfect icons that prove that ANHS is
truly the “Home of the Champions”.
Are you one of them? We’ll see.
Let’s start off with the talk
of the campus. These two students
proved that if you put your mind into
it, you’ll achieve greater heights. They
are the only students who managed to

are Jerry Felix and Mae Angela Acar,
both are grade 11 students from the
Accountancy, Business, and Manage-
ment (ABM) strand under the advi-
sory of Mr. Manuel Rivera. Felix is a
transferee from Saint Mary’s School

also known for being intelligent stu-
dent-writers. Both garnered an aver-

The next icon is known for
her leadership and intelligence. Javi
Hannah Jewel Del Campo is recog-
nized for being one of the most re-
sponsible President of the Supreme
Student Government during her term
last school year 2017-2018 and was
a leadership awardee. Despite her
taking a rest from the responsibili-
ty during this school year, she is still
actively participating and helping out
on some programs. Not only that, she
was also crowned as the Lakambini

2018. Also, students claim her to be
a role model that influences and in-
spires the youth. She is also known for
being a talented student and is a danc-
er and a part of the Mananalip Dance
Troupe and her skills in writing has

articulate. She is often seen joining

co-curricular activities. Nechole Jayne
Garcia has been a known icon when
it comes to written works and at the

She is often referred to as multi-tal-
ented, as said by the students. She is
also known for being responsible and
effective leader. She worked alongside
the former SSG President Deal Cam-
po as the SSG P.I.O. while being the
English Club President and a C.A.T.
officer. She made headlines again
when she made history as the first de-

deron and Harry Matthew Lazaro are
familiar to students for they are the
rising stars when it comes to dancing.
Calderon is a student from grade 11
HUMSS-B under the advisory of Ms.
Janelle Padura while Lazaro is a grade
11 I.C.T. student under the advisory of
Mrs. Princess Gonzales. When they’re
the ones on stage, all heads turn to
them. According to the students, the
idolize Calderon and Lazaro’s passion
for dancing as well as their skills. In
addition, in order to continue the leg-
acy of their previous elder members,
they also train other students, which
inspires them even more.
In connection with our hip
hop duo, the next students are known
for their active participation in cul-
ture and art-related activities. Jerrold
Laguit, Harvin Jan Olivo, and Elijah
Mariano are commonly known for
their appearances when it comes to
co-curricular activities. Laguit is an
honor student of grade 10 Fornax un-
der the advisory of Mr. Eladio Querol
II. He has always been known for being
a dancer and a member of Mananalip
Dance Troupe, Tribu Ari-Tau¸ and
Ari-Tau Folkloric Society. His became
more recognized when he won Mr.
ANHS 1st Runner-Up. Olivo is also an
honor student of grade 9 Sampaguita
under the advisory of Mrs. Normita
Fronda. He is also a member of the
same organizations as Laguit but is
mainly known for his participation in
dance sports. Mariano, on the other
hand, is highly known for his artistic
outputs and performance. According
to the students, they idolize him for
being an intelligent and talented stu-
dent and a proud LGBTQ member.
The Malussong Band has paved the
way for the recognition of their lead
singer, Esther Serquiña. She is known
not only as a vocalist of the band but
also as an honor student. She is a stu-
dent of grade 9 Daisy under the advi-
sory of Mrs. Janine __________.
When it comes to beauty
queen-material, ANHS has its very
own Nina Ricci Javier. She is highly
known not only for her beauty but
also for her wit. She was crowned as
the Ms. ANHS 2018 and recently won
Binibining Aritao 1st Runner Up. Her
charm and intelligence has made her
an ideal role model for most AN-
HSians.
In the previous years, ANHS
has been able to send three sports
idols to different known universities.
Herald Domingo has been admitted
at Arellano University. James Paul La-
guit is now enrolled at De La Salle –
College of Saint Benilde. Emilio Paul
Ortiz is now at the University of Santo
Tomas. All the mentioned former stu-
dents have been able to attend their
dream schools with the help of sports.
At present, two other athletes are plan-
ning on achieving the same fate. Geof-
frei Tucay and Jerbi Yu are idolized
for their passion and skills in sports.
Tucay is described by students as mul-
ti-talented. He has been an awardee in
cooking competitions, dance competi-
tions, sports, and is an honor student
as the same time. The said icon is a stu-
dent of grade 10 Eridanus under the
advisory of Mrs. Grace Ordoñez. Yu,
on the other hand, is also recognized
for being skilled at dancing, sports and

The mentioned names of the
campus personalities are from the stu-
dents themselves. Hence, with their

some mistakes because it will
surely be developed and mold

important to consider when
going to a higher level in life.
As a leader, you need
to earn trust from your team
and develop positive working
relationships. Decision making
should involve all people. Em-
power every leader to do what
is right from what is wrong.
The fact of being in a leadership
function is that you often have
to enforce changes from others.
Your function as a good leader
is to do your best and make the
right decisions. As Vince Lom-
bard once said,” Leaders are
made, they are not born. They

 A Day in the Life of a Student Teacher, My Student Teaching Experience

How do you know if you really want to be a teacher? It is most rewarding for
teachers when they really make a difference in a child`s life, when they are able to ignite
curiosity and growth in their students. But as much as teaching can be rewarding, it can
also be frustrating and stressful when dealing with unmotivated students, large classes, and heavy workloads.
Most significantly, teachers will sometimes have to deal with unruly behavior and violence from students. In
addition, schools in inner cities and poor communities are often run-down and lack much-needed resources.
I just want to share my incredible practice teaching experience at Aritao National High School. As
the semester was winding down, I have experienced one of the best parts of teaching, the relationship that is
formed. I have become so sad to leave these students, and I am reminded of why I love this job so much. As
teachers, we spend the majority of the day with our students. While they may drive us crazy often, it is inevi-
table that there will be relationships formed and connections made that leave lasting impressions. I will miss
these students and the adventures that they bring to me each day.
First, I have learned the importance of messing up. I know, this sounds crazy, but I have found my-
self so nervous about screwing something up. I expected to always plan the perfect lesson, explain everything
perfectly, and have everything go smoothly and as planned. And let me be the first to say, this is rarely the case.
I have learned how important it is to accept that we are not perfect teachers, and neither are our co-teachers.
We all have things to learn, and my student-teaching experience has taught me how to learn from my mistakes
rather than letting them eat away at me. I learned something from my cooperating teachers and from the
students every day, and being open to this and vulnerable allowed me to grow, adapt, and think on my feet!
Having this experience is the true life of a teacher.
When reflecting on this semester of student teaching, there have been so many challenges, so many
celebrations, and so much that I have learned. I have been pushed myself beyond my comfort zone, and I have
grown as a teacher immensely. It is hard for me to only talk about a few of the takeaways that I have gained
from this semester! As we’re quickly approaching the half-way point of student teaching, I have learned a lot
about planning and organizing. I have not been the most organized person prior to college, but as I prepare to
be a teacher, I have learned the importance of planning ahead and being organized holds. I have also encoun-
tered many teachers who were more organized that I knew I was possible. There are so many lessons, data,
files, etc. that teachers need to keep track of over time, so being organized is a must. Along with organization
comes preparation. Planning is also something that I have had a lot of practice with so far during student
teacher, and nothing feels better than feeling like you are In control of your teaching life. Planning and being
organized is often an overlooked skill that teachers must practice and get ahold of. I chose to write about this
because we are in a time of extreme busyness with lesson planning, assorted files and classes. I constantly feel
overwhelmed with everything that is on our plates and will often let that stress get the best of me, but I have
also found ways to tackle this workload head on.
With being honest about my mistakes and imperfections, I was able to also form stronger connec-
tions to the students. This is another takeaway from the semester. I have always valued forming a stronger
relationship with my students in order to create the best learning environment for them, but I was able to be
with the students every day of the week, I was able to see the growth of my relationship with them from day to
day over the course of the semester. I was honestly intimidated working with older, gifted students coming in,
but I worked hard to break down their walls and get to know them as individuals. I have loved getting to know

Secondly, I have learned the importance of having
an open mind. You can walk into any classroom and see com-
pletely different environments, teaching styles, student personalities, curriculum, resources, etc. it is so easy
to have your own ways and own approaches to teaching, disregarding anything else that you encounter. I have
learned that opening up to approaches and styles that I am not particularly used to is beneficial to help me
learn more ways that I can help my students and to also earn more about what I like and dislike as a teacher.
Rarely does anyone have a perfect student teaching placement? I am fortunate to have enjoyed mine, but I have
also learned that there is value in learning about what you do not want to do as a teacher just as much as learn
what you do want to do. It is so important to continue being open-minded so that you can leave room to grow
into a more effective teacher.
As for planning, I have found it very beneficial to keep a schedule and do my best to stick to it. It is
so important to keep constant communication with my cooperating teacher and to make good use out of any
planned time that I get. One reason that I wanted to talk about planning is that we had a teacher planning day
this past week. As a soon-to-be teacher, I now realize the greatness of extra time to plan. We had a full school
day without students dedicated to planning. It was amazing! I have learned the importance of staying on track
and being mindful of how I spend my time. It isn’t easy, but it I worth it. I have really enjoyed my student
teaching experience despite all of its hardship and challenges. Found myself in very low points but also in very
high points throughout the semester, but I can clearly see how it has all grown me as a teacher, and I feel as
though I can confidently walk into whatever classroom I will be teaching in next year. I cannot believe that the
time has come for my own classroom; I can hardly wait!
It was such a wonderful experience to realize that I am prepared and I am a teacher. It is easy to slip
into the mindset that all we can talk about is what we will do when we are teachers, but we have been trained
well and have had so many rich learning experiences, and nothing beats being able to reflect on those and
how I’ve grown as a teacher and allowing my potential future employer to see this shine through me as well!
Overall, the practice of teaching was a success in my eyes! As for organization, I created a binder with tabs for
all things that I had to keep track of at the beginning of the semester. This has helped me both physically and
mentally separate all of the tasks and assignments that I need to keep track of. Also, I wouldn’t survive without
my planner. Having a place where a constant to-do list from week to week has been very helpful for me and
my sanity. These two things, along with also having a place both at school and at home organize your teacher
supplies are ways that I have learned t0o be organized.
In summary, I have loved getting to know these students. I was discouraged at first because I felt
like it was taking longer than normal to connect with them, but I feel like we have gotten to a really good
place where we have mutual respect and care for each other. Forming these connections is not only personally
valuable, but it creates such a positive environment for the entire class. Creating a friendly community within
the classroom plays such a role in the class’ success, and I have loved learning this throughout my placements.

himself to make it in the top 3.
Based on the amazing facts I
shared about him, I can definitely say
that he is an image of inspiration not
just to students but to everyone who is
lost, hopeless and have no inspiration.

Being a
dancer may seem simple, but it
is one of the most crucial pro-
fession. Dancing requires the
presence of both discipline and
determination.
Aside from the infamous
Tribu Ari-Tau, another group
is put in the spotlight when it
comes to promoting our culture.
It is none other than the Ari-Tau
Folkloric Society.
The name may seem
familiar to those who have wit-
nessed them perform during
the town’s fiesta. They have per-
formed several sets of dances
such as Rural Dances, Maria
Clara, Tribal, Muslim dances,
and others. Some examples of
the dances they have performed
are Sayaw sa Bangko, Pandang-
go sa Ilaw, Pandaggo Oasiwas,
Maglalatik, La Jota Moncadeña,
Habanera Botolena, Sayaw sa
Cuyo, La Estudyantina, Kara-
tong and many others.
Ari-Tau Folkloric Socie-
ty (AFS) is a premier LGU-based
folk dance group in the province
which was founded by Mr. Ken-
drick John Vila who also hap-
pens to man behind Tribu Ari-
tau’s performances.
According to Mr. Vila, the idea of
organizing AFS took place when
he was given a chance to call out
passionate members from Tribu
Ari-Tau to perform a repertoire
in the annual NUVELCO anni-
versary, which, as he described it,
was a dream come true for him –
to have a dance troupe within the
community. The purpose of the
organization is to bring out the
Tribu Ari-Tau reigns

It’s been the same since the last
previous years, the infamous Tribu Ari-Tau
once again causes tremors in the news-
papers and social media. The dancers all
dressed in Ifugao clothing along with the
propsmen and musicians in their iconic red
“tribu” shirt all cheer in joy as they listen to
the announcement that brought them vic-
tory and glory. During the previous Am-
mungan Festival, they brought pride to Ar-
itao by bagging the “Most Festive Dance”
award, ten straight years of championship
and their third “Hall of Fame” award.
Tribu Ari-Tau has been known
for having a legacy of delivering a perfor-
mance that is well thought of – a legacy of
being the only group to reach 10 straight
championships and 3 hall of fame awards,
as said by the trainor, Mr. Kendrick John
Vila.
And when the people thought
the good news is over, think again. Tribu
Ari-Tau participates in the First Invitation-
al Enhanced Cultural Street Dance Com-
petition during the 18th Matagoan Festival
at Tabuk City, Kalinga and competed with
their “DINUY-A”. And just like their pre-
vious competitions, Tribu Ari-Tau did not
fail to bring home the bacon.
The preparations started a week before the
competition. They started by filling up the
100 participants required. Mr. Vila admit-
ted that it was a tough decision to bring Tri-
bu Ari-Tau in Tabuk – with limited time to
prepare and scarcity of fund. Fortunately, a
lot of people offered financial assistance in-
cluding Governor Padilla and the Mayor’s
office of Aritao.
Overwhelmed would be an un-
derstatement to describe the reaction of
the members and supporters of the group
when they were announced the Champi-
on of the competition on the fateful day of
June 23, 2018. All the doubts were wiped
and hardships paid-off.
When asked about his further
plans for the group, Mr. Vila says; “As
long as there are individuals or groups of
passionate members, plans would be the
same – to compete and perform whenever
chances would take place”. And when asked
if they will be competing in the Aliwan Fi-
esta 2019, his reply is; “Hopefully, through
the partnership between the Provincial
Local Government Unit (PLGU) and Mu-
nicipal Local Government Unit (MLGU)
Aritao. We are still waiting for the final or-
der. We believe it is about time to bring to
the national stage the best of Ammungan
Festival.
Tribu Ari-Tau still manages to be
Aritao’s pride, Aritao National High School
is no exception. Majority of the group
members are students of ANHS which
makes it the more valuable. When it comes
to performances, Tribu Ari-Tau gives it
their all.
Tribu Ari-Tau has been like my
second family and to fight with them side
by side is already a victory. What happens
next is a journey we’ll embark on together.#

The group was estab-
lished with the help of LGU
funds through the help of Hon-
orable Lucita Tan and Honorable
Ruben Sayo who are also con-
sidered the founding parents of
AFS.
The original plan of the
group was to perform in the Na-
tional and International stage.
This plan took a step up when
the group won as fourth place in
the Philippine Tour Operators
Association (PhilTOA) National
Cultural Dance Competition last
September 2016.
The group’s humble be-
ginnings started with 16 mem-
bers which then grew to more
than 37 members from elemen-
tary, high school, college, profes-
sionals and out of school youth.
In fact, most of the dancers who
participated in the Regional Fes-
tival of Talents are members of
Ari-Tau Folkloric society.
In every show and per-
formance, they undergo tough
trainings with overtime rehears-
als to master all the dances.#
When asked about the
further plans for AFS, Mr. Vila
says; “To perform at the Cul-
tural Center of the Philippines
through PASINAYA, thus, open-
ing a chance for us to become a
national performing group.
You will never know the
hardships of a group unless you
experience it yourself, and as
a member of both the Ari-Tau
Folkloric Society and Tribu Ari-
Tau, I’m proud to say that it’s a
risk worth taking.#

signifies another year of
bounty for the people of
Aritao, and what better way
to celebrate our Panagsis-
ibuyas than our traditional
events like the Drum and
Lyre competition, Street
Dancing competition, Bas-
ketball league, Silent Drill
competition, Lechonan and
our yearly Search for Binib-
ining Aritao.
However, this year’s
Silent Drill competition
had the spotlight unlike any
other. The snare drum of
the performing contingent
was damaged which caused
it to produce an unpleasant
sound. The audience wit-
nessed a cadet from Aritao

for their image more than
anything, this is a serious
blow to the soul. It’s de-
structive to the point some
are driven to insanity. Cy-
berbullying also counts in
this classification, where the
same description applies but
on the internet or anywhere
technology touches a com-
munity. Purposely ruining a
profile is definitely not cool,
not worthy of all the reac-
tions and comments.
The amount of times
these cases occur is alarm-
ing. It might not be con-
sistent but it sure does pile
up as a burden which only

Mobile games are actually applications made with the
aim to reduce the level of stress or anxiety level due
to activities that are done by humankind. This may be
true to some, but to those who receives the word “de-
feat” in their screens, their stress levels get a lot worse.
It all started from the simple “Clash of Clans”,
next came “Clash Royale”, “League of Legends”, then
came “Rules of Survival”, and the most influential of
all, the infamous “Mobile Legends”.
Mobile Legends is a mobile game developed by Shang-
hai Moonton Technology and is the first esports title
to be included as a medal event at the 2019 Southeast
Asian Games. But of course, a competition is a com-
petition. Riot Games has filed lawsuit against Moon-
ton because of copyright infringement, citing the similarities between Mooton’s “Mobile Legends” and Riot’s “League of Legends”, and
eventually won.
Children, teenagers and even adults addicted to the game even willingly spend money to access or play the game. Almost 70% of
people who just began to play the game are expected to be soon addicted and eventually will play the app on every opportunity they see.
At present, we see students playing the infamous Mobile Legends game in almost every classroom. They won’t even bother responding to
whoever talks to them or approaches them. It’s like talking to thin air. And when they both hear and see the word “DEFEAT” flashed on
their screens, it’s as if you’re witnessing a digital heartbreak.
However, some organizations see this as an opportunity by putting up activities like Mobile Legends Tournament within the school.

Beautiful Blue Tears Induce

Marine Life Fears

Whilist the ocean entic-
es many with its deep cerulean
reflections, it can’t be helped that
the surface manages to steal the
show. In all its glowing, gleam-
ing glory, “blue tears” rest atop
of the versatile waters, grabbing
the attention of mere by passers.
But does it grab enough?
Outshining the bottom
line of the calm scenery, these
blue tears are actually from the
blossoming of bioluminescent
dinoflagellates, which are ba-
sically tiny sea creatures that
produce their own light, thus
the azure shimmer. They float
about on the East Sea in Chi-
na, attracting quite an audience
with its charming allure. These
dinoflagellates are sometimes in
groups which create the blan-
keting blue, spreading through
a decent space but apparently,
it takes more than it’s welcomed
too. Beneath its brilliance, this
natural glow goo is the defini-
tion of deceptive—toxic within.
And it doesn’t look like it’s go-
ing to stop soon, as these blue
tears grow bigger and stretch
deeper each day passing. Whilst
the audience could enjoy the
pleasing sight a little more, the
inhabitants in the same domain
as the blue tears won’t, as threats
as posed against their lives. It
may look rather tempting, but
the daydream ends once marine
life begins to feed on the algae,
which would then release chem-
icals such as ammonia upon
chewing down. This would then
spread around the said marine
creature until the oxygen level
decreases, suffocating so.
It isn’t quite certain how
this phenomenon happened,
but researchers hypotheses that
they develop from the fertiliz-
ers being dumped into rivers
that flow down to the sea, giving
them massive dosages of the nu-
trients they need to grow. How-
ever, it has been quite noticea-
ble how progressive these water
glitters have been, supported by
the idea of how pollution from
the agricultural funnels plays
into the scene. Years 2000 to
2003, when the controversial
Three Gorges Dam was built,
the rivers’ flow had decreased
rather obviously, resulting in
evidently little blooms of these
tears.
Researchers say there
isn’t sign of this ending soon.

Think about a heart
that’s been healing. Slow-
ly but surely, progressing
quite commendably until
the same arrow shoots the
scarring world, piercing in-
credibly sharp and cutting
through the bloody flesh.
Yet, as much as it hurts, the
false reassurance outweighs
the pain to the point that it
almost numbs it, letting it
be.
Think about it, in a
literal scene, except only it’s
on your bare skin.
Whilst this does
sound quite comforting,
well, it isn’t. False reassur-
ance is still false, take your
splinters out!
The outside display
is indeed deceptive, much
like how your ex-boyfriend
begged on his knees to have
you back after all his sins,
but the lad was still the cun-
ning devil within. Some-
times, no sign of bleeding
doesn’t mean safe, if any-
thing, the bleeding is most
likely internally. In the same
sense, skin punctured with
the foreign object still stuck
in doesn’t guarantee that it’s
okay in the slightest. Don’t
be fooled! Splinters carry
and invite possible infec-
tions through it and the ti-
niest gaps it created when it
broke through. No matter
how small or ignore-worthy
it appears to be, it would al-
ways be advisable to get rid
of it.
One disease that
could develop from an un-
stuck splinter is from the
tetanus bacteria, which is at
a higher risk when the host
has nothing to hold against
it.
The skin is the first
protective barrier to what
your body holds inside, the
vulnerable and easy targets
for unwanted, unfamiliar
factors. Scenario one, where
you stand behind the wall
you’ve been living safely in

VOLUME XVII, NO. 1 November-March 2018-19 Pencak Silat is closely tied to the
history of Indonesia and had a signifi-
cant impact on the growth of Indonesia.
It is known as one of the Southeast Asian
country’s formal fighting system. It was
developed from observations of animal
movements and natural surroundings.
In neighboring countries, the term
usually refers to professional competi-
tive “silat”. It also includes: graphing and
throwing in additional weaponry. It is
also an excellent place for a class of relat-
ed Indonesian martial arts.
Pencak Silat is one of the sports
included in the Southeast Asian Games
and other region-wide competitions. The
sport first made debut in the year 1987
of the said multi-sport event and also in
2018 Asian Games both held in Indone-
sia. It was meant not only for physical at-
tack but also to improve people’s psychol-
ogy.
As an athlete, it takes a lot to gain
knowledge about the said sport. It needs
time to learn how to punch, kick, sweep
and strategize. For me and in behalf of
every athletes, “discipline” is what you re-
ally need to work hard for in any sport. It

is not about what you will get, instead it is about the knowledge
you will gather. The sport can be used for self-defense if the sit-
uation comes.
I can relate the skills of this Martial Arts into everyone’s
life. In such ways that the sport aims the opponent using your
body, just like every problems you are facing can be overcame
by using your mind, soul and spirit. Another skills included in
Pencak Silatare grappling and throwing weaponry that can act
as every judgment that are grappled and thrown against you, but
remember those judgment can be dodged, punched and kicked
right back at them. The best skill that I have learned is to sweep
the opponents, just like in life, once you have swept by the reali-
ty, you will fall down in instant and realize that it is not done yet

Ask anyone that had ever played an online

game and they will mostly tell you that it is ad-
dictive. Mobile Legends (ML) is one of the games
that had made millions of hardcore gamers lose
sleep and money. The reason for this addiction is
simple. It provides the player with another world.
In the digital world, there are no boundaries.
They can be whoever they want and accomplish
anything with a snap, same with sports.
In sports, athletes have freedom. Having
another world, they focus on winning and de-
veloping their skills to improve their skill and
strengths for them to achieve the whopping vic-
tory. Same with online games, sports can engage
in different competition using their physical
strength and mental abilities that can produce
large sum of prize money.
If you are gamer, you may know Electronic
Sports or Esports. It is a competition in which
the participants are player of online games and all
event are inclined with video games. One of the
examples is the 2019 Esports Sea Games wherein
the first event confirmed was ML.
Even in school, online games are participated in Aritao National High School. Recently, they conducted a Mobile Legend
Tournament wherein the winners will receive cash prizes.
Let’s look more at the reasons why online games should be a sport.
First, it takes time, effort and a lot of skills to reach the most-awaited triumph and be a professional gamer; not everyone
can be. Second, it needs a lot of mental capabilities and physical strength. Moreover, it requires mind-blowing tactics, great
determination and energy. Lastly, it is incredibly competitive and has very strict rules when it comes to competition just like
sports.
With the reasons stated, we can definitely say that online games can be considered as a sport since both of them have
similarities and such little differences. Also, most of the people states that online game is already a sport and even used it as a

The Aritao National High School (ANHS) In the Arnis, Jomel Ramirez gathered the Gold medal for the
students soared high as they contended in the Cagayan Valley Region-
al Athletic Association (CAVRAA) 2019, March 3 to 11. Different ath-
letes all over the Region II partook in the said sport event which was
held at the different sport complex of the whole region.
CAVRAA pursues to determine and select the qualified athletes
who will be entering the Palarong Pambansa in Davao City, April 27
to May 4.
Bringing home the bacon, the ANHS athletes gave their best
ad garnered different awards representing not only the Nueva Vizcaya
but also the proud ANHS.

lyn Cabradilla, Marien Leigh Marzan, and Jhema Manaligod achieved

2018 Municipal Meet

With the theme, “One Heart, One Family and

One Soul in Upholding Unity through Sports,” the
ANHS students joined the Aritao Unified Second-
ary School Municipal Meet 2018 held at the LGU
Gymnasium and the different Secondary Schools of
Aritao last September 28 and 29.
Municipal Meet was conducted to select stu-
dents that will represent the Municipality of Aritao
on the Provincial Meet, and to enhance, potentials,
skills, and promote Physical Education. Also, to in-
culcate the spirit of Discipline are the objectives of
the Municipal Meet.
“We aren’t declaring any champions in terms
of the different secondary schools whether it’s pub-
lic or private ,instead we are having the selection of
athletes that will represent are municipality to the
Provincial Meet Ma’am Reynalee S. Caluza said.
