The Organising Committee of 8th European Academy of Forensic Science Conference will do its utmost to help

authors for their presentations and to facilitate their arrival and stay at the conference.

The E-Poster exhibition will take place from Wednesday to Friday next to the exhibition in the Lyon Convention
Center, France. The E-Posters will be displayed from Wednesday to Friday throughout the conference time.

E-Poster dimension and format

 Your E-Poster has to be created in a PowerPoint format using the EAFS2018 template (.ppt or .pptx).

 You DO NOT need to print your E-Poster; instead you must UPLOAD it before 24 August 2018 via the link
http://www.easy-suite.net/eslidecenter_eafs2018. Please note that onsite upload of E-Poster will not be
possible.

 Your PowerPoint file should not exceed THREE slides presenting the whole content of your E-Poster.

 All E-Posters have to be realized in a landscape format 16:9 (see « Page Layout » or screen shot below)

 File should be named by using the final reference number which has been assigned to your E-Poster number
starting with a “P” (ex: P250.ppt).

 If you operate under Mac, please note onsite display will use PC screens. We therefore suggest you check your
presentation using Windows prior to the upload. In order to avoid any display discrepancies, please use fonts that
are compatible under both operating systems (Arial, Courier New, Geneva, Georgia, Helvetica, Times, Times New
Roman).

 If you insert images or pictures, they MUST be in HIGH DEFINITION in order to allow efficient viewing with the
zoom tool. Images/pictures resolution should be 1920 X 1080 minimum (width by height).

 You cannot insert ANY animation.

Language:
Your E-Poster must be written in ENGLISH.

E-Poster Contents:
Each E-Poster should contain the following elements in the dedicated three slides:
1. Title of the selected abstract,
2. Full names of contributing authors and affiliation,
3. Sections on the purpose of the study (Introduction, Material and methods, Results and discussion),
4. A Conclusion (The conclusion is by far the most important part of the E-Poster – the message should be clear and
simple).

Text, tables and drawings for figures should be large enough to be seen from a 2 metres distance. Illustrations should
be used to convey important points; diagrams, graphs, bar charts, scatter grams, pie charts and photographs will
enhance your presentation.
In order to guide you with the preparation of your E-Poster, you can use this template in the proper PowerPoint format
detailing the structure of the E-Poster.

Make short statements, avoid long explanatory sentences.

Disclosure of potential conflicts of interest

EAFS is strongly involved in the scientific integrity and the scientific independence of the meeting content. The Scientific
Committee requires that all presentations be as free of commercial bias as possible and that any information on
commercial products or services be based on already generally accepted medical thinking. As a result, every speaker
will be required to disclose any potential conflict of interest at the beginning of each presentation to ensure that all
messages be taken in a transparent way.
It is also preferred that generic drug names be used wherever possible and that any presentation referring to unlabelled
or research associated commercial products should disclose this situation to the meeting attendees.

Authors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest in their E-Poster text.
