A Detailed Lesson Plan in Physical Education Intended for Grade 9 Students

At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:

1. identifies different festival dances around the country,


2. demonstrates basic movements of selected festival dances,
3. demonstrates one example of festival dances.

following dance terms in festival dance, just follow what I am
doing and make sure that you are in timing with the music.

Last meeting we discussed about the basic steps in social dance.

perform basic steps in social dance the with music.

Now, I will group you into 3 groups. Each group will have their
respective colors. Red for group 1, yellow for group 2, and blue
for group 3.

PHILLIPINE FESTIVAL
 Festival dances are cultural dances performed to the
strong beat percussion instruments by a community of
people sharing the same culture usually done in honor of
a Patron Saint or in thanksgiving of a bountiful harvest.
 Festival dances may be religious or secular in nature.
Festival dances draw the people’s culture by portraying
the people’s ways of life through movements, costumes,
and implements inherent to their place of origin.

your books or search in the internet.
