This manual and or guide was designed to facilitate understanding of what disability is and the most significant issues to
consider when handling, addressing, or training on/about issues relating to People with Disabilities (PWDs). The set-up of this

Besides working with this manual or guide, the trainer or facilitator ought to have the following attributes if they are to
successfully make a good difference and delivery on the job!

Carry no negative biases, judgments, and stereotypes about PWDs
Good interpersonal skills
Good speech and presentation abilities

PRE-ARRANGEMENTS

Professionally, training/presentations/engagements/interaction…depending on how you may prefer to refer to them start

way before the actual or physical trainings/presentations or engagements.

The pre-training period is what we are referring to as the pre-arrangement phase of the training/engagement/or interaction
in this manual and guide.

This phase of the training is perhaps the most important part, regardless of how senior, how academically qualified, or how
much you are an expert in the field that you intend to train. At the worst, one must be able to reflect and think through the
scheduled training or engagement. Exceptionally, impromptu engagements or interactions require an excellent acumen.
