Group Task: Design a park to scale that will fit on a 100-foot by 100-foot piece of land.
Then present your design to the class.

Your Task: Help other group member, estimate measurements, convert measurements to
scale, and see to it that the final drawing meets all requirements. Complete each of the
following tasks in the order given.

o Task 1: Help with the rough sketch.


o Task 2: Work with your group to think of a name for your park.
o Task 3: Find measurements of items. You may want to measure actual items
around the school that are of similar size. Be sure to ask permission.
o Task 4: Convert measurements to scale. For example; Let every 100 feet in
actual length equal 1 foot in drawing length.
o Task 5: Check that the following requirements are met.

o Task 5: Obtain drawing paper from teacher for final plan
o Task 6: Draw and color the final plan. Label features and list actual dimensions.
o Task 7: Rehearse presentation with other group members.
