BIOGRAPHICAL DATA

The researcher was born on November 16, 1996 in Barrera Sr., Lupi, Camarines Sur.
He is the eldest son of Mr. Santiago Severino Gaspar and Mrs. Mercideta Cuales Oquendo.
With 5 siblings in the family namely Mark Francis Oquendo Gaspar, Jhon Greg Oquendo
Gaspar, Yanny Oquendo Gaspar, Justene Oquendo Gaspar and Shaina Oquendo Gaspar,
from eldest to youngest respectively. They are presently residing in Zone 7, Barrera Sr.,
Lupi, Camarines Sur.

He finished his primary education at Haluban Elementary School and graduated as

with honors in March 2009. Because of his desire to pursue his dream, he continued his
secondary education at Haluban National High School, and reaped the fruit of his sacrifices
in 2013 and graduated as 4th honorable mention.

With his great desire and determination to go to school and achieve his goal, he took
up much financial assistance from the government for him to help his family in his college
education. He took Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at Central Bicol state
University of Agriculture, but he didn’t finish the course because of personal matters. After
a year he enrolled at St. Peter Baptist College Foundation, and took up Bachelor of
Secondary Education Major in MAPEH

In God’s grace the researcher is finishing his course this school year, as a reward for
all his sacrifices and his beloved family.

ABSTRACT

GASPAR, MARK FRANCIS OQUENDO Health Security of Every Household in Zone 7, Lupi
Camarines Sur, BSED Thesis, College of Education, St. Peter Baptist College Foundation

Instructor: MERCY A. LLANILLO

This study on “Health Security of Every Household in Zone 7, Lupi Camarines Sur”

aimed to determine on how the families on my neighborhood secure their health. The study

aimed to 1) determine the cleanliness of the kitchen, and CR; 2) determine if the water

sources is applicable to drink; 3) determine the cleanliness of the surroundings of the

house; 4) determine the safeties of the food and 5) determine the Freeness in Dengue.

The entire house in the Zone 7, Barrera Sr., was part of the sampled respondents.

These are the house/houses of Mr. and Mrs. Armando Jimeno. Mrs. Anastacia Jimeno, Mr.

and Mrs. Santiago S. Gaspar, Mrs. Liezel Dioras, Mr. and Mrs. Gil Espineli, Mr. and Mrs.

Lyndon Asma, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jimeno.

An adopted questionnaire was used in the collection of data; data were analyzed

percentage and rubrics.

The results of the study were summarized based on the objectives of the study,

100% population of the Zone 7, Barrera Sr.

Households in the Zone 7, agreed in the determination of their health security.

INTRODUCTION

Every household should be able to measure their ability to meet the cleanliness and

safeties of their Family. Every household desire to have clean and safe places. So they can

assure the freeness in all sickness of every member of their family.

As educated member of the family, the responsibility rests with them us to secure

the health of the other member of the family. Family member are expected to transform

knowledge on how to prevent sickness and secure the cleanliness and safeties to the

younger ones. For these they will be more concern with their health.

The quality of health depends upon the knowledge that the elder ones give to the

younger ones. In formal system the children may depend to the elder surround them, who

transmits, interpret, and facilitates learning about securing the cleanliness and safeties of

every family member.

The main purpose of this study was to find out the level of cleanliness and safeties of

every household in the said area. This includes the surroundings, the Comfort Room, the

drinking water and especially the safeties food.

Objectives of the Study

The objectives of the study included the following:

1. Determine the cleanliness of the kitchen and CR.

2. Determine if the water sources are applicable to drink.

3. Determine the cleanliness of the surroundings of the house.

4. Determine the safeties of the food.

5. Determine the Freeness in Dengue.

Significance of the Study

Results of this study would provide educators an insight on how the Zone 7 of

barangay Barrera Sr., Lupi, Camarines Sur secures the heath of their family. This may set an

inspiration to other barangay to maintain the healthy surroundings. It will help them to

identify the ways and technique of the people of Zone 7, barangay Barrera Sr., Lupi

Camarines Sur on how to prevent sickness.

This study would also be beneficial to other researchers who may take interest in

research about the same topic as this research.

Scope and Limitation

This study was limited only in Zone 7, Barrera Sr., The variables included were:

Determination of the cleanliness of the kitchen, and CR, water sanitation, cleanliness of the

surroundings of the house, safeties of the food and freeness in Dengue.

Definition of Terms

Cleanliness

- Is managing waste right away

Sanitation

- The process of keeping places free from dirt, infection, disease and etc. removing

waste, trash and garbage, by cleaning the one place.

Safeties

- Freedom from harm or danger: the state of being safe: the state of not being

dangerous or harmful: a safe place.

Freeness

- Not physically, mentally and emotionally held by something.

Hypothesis

Ho1: There is no significant comparison of every household in determining beautifulness of

the CR; the important is the cleanliness of it.

Ho2: There is no significant difference between the price of the food, the safeties and the

applicability to eat the food is the important matter to be a healthy one.

METHODOLOGY

Research Design
The study used the descriptive design to obtain data on Health Security of Every

Household in Zone 7, Barrera Sr., Lupi, Camarines Sur.

Respondents of the Study

The respondents were all of the households in Zone 7, Barrera Sr., Lupi, Camarines

Sur.

Locale of the Study

This study was conducted within the Zone 7, Barrera Sr., Lupi Camarines Sur

households.

Sampling Procedure
In choosing the (8) households in Zone 7, Barrera Sr., Lupi Camarines Sur

respondents of the study, researchers used complete enumeration.

Data Gathering Procedure

The researcher first prepared camera for taking photo of the kitchen, C.R (Comfort

Room) and the surroundings of every household in Zone 7., Barrera Sr., Lupi Camarines

Sur.

Statistical Analysis
Data analysis and interpretation were done using criteria and rubrics for every

household, supporting by photos.

 As a result of the study, every household has their own way on how to prevent

illness, by assuring the cleanliness and safeties of their kitchen and CR also with

their surroundings. The following is the result of finding the answer to the questions

in the objectives.

a) In determining the cleanliness of the kitchen and CR: they have all ways in

having clean kitchen and CR, even if they are not all the same style and form

of kitchen and CR.

b) In determining the applicability of drinking water, only the three families

was use water from the mountains, or the spring water. The family of Mr.

Armando Jimeno, Mrs. Anastacia Jimeno anf Mr, Santiago Gaspar. The rest

was using the Mineral water from one of the purified drinking water in

Calagbangan, Sipicot Camarines Sur.

c) For the cleanliness of the house, based on the picture, the entire house has

very clean surroundings.

d) For the safeties of food, the entire households have their own ways of serving

the food safely, so food is safe to eat for their family to eat.

e) For freeness from dengue, the zone 7, Barrera Sr., Lupi Camarines Sur is no

casualties of dengue. So the zone is free from dengue.

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION, AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter deals with the summary, conclusions and recommendations of the
study entitled “HEALTH SECURITY OF EVERY HOUSEHOLD IN ZONE 7, BARANGAY
BARRERA SR, LUPI CAMARINES SUR.

There were eight (8) respondents from the said zone and barangay.

Specifically, it aimed to: Determine the cleanliness of the kitchen, and CR: Determine

if the water sources are applicable to drink: Determine the cleanliness of the surroundings

of the house: Determine the safeties of the food: Determine the Freeness in Dengue.

Summary
Mr. Armando Jimeno gets 95% out of 100% for all the cleanliness, freeness and
safeties needed of their house, the same with Mrs. Liezel Dioras.
Mr. Gil Espineli and and Mr. Lyndon Asma, got the same score, which is 92% out of
100%.
Mr. Santiago Gaspar and Mr. Raymond Jimeno, also got the same score of 90% out of
100%.
And the last one is also got the same score of 89% out of 100%, they are Mrs.
Anastacia Jimeno and Mrs. Candida Pel.

- The cleanliness of all the Comfort Room in the entire household is averaging of 12.
75% out of 15%.
- The cleanliness of the entire kitchen in the entire household is averaging same with
the Comfort Room out of 15% also.
- The cleanliness and safeties of the food is averaging 23.125% out of 25%.
- The applicability of drinking water is averaging 24.125% out of 25%.
- Healthy surroundings average 9% out of 10%.
- Freeness from dengue got a perfect average 10 out of 10%, because as of now, they
didn’t have any casualties in dengue.

Conclusion

 All of household have their own way of explaining cleanliness, freeness and safeties

in all matters, but they are all related to the cleanliness, freeness and safeties that all

known. So Zone 7, Barrera Sr., is one model of the healthy place to stay and the said

Zone is the improved one in the Barangay Barrera Sr., Lupi Camarines Sur.

Recommendations

 The only recommendations in this Zone is to have own source of food at the back

yard, so that the people of the Zone 7, lessen the cost of the food, and also have more

healthy food.
