ArtWorks Gallery Exhibition

Call for Entries: Student Response

to the 2020 Census
Discover how your students may exhibit their artwork at the Museum.
Exhibitions in the ArtWorks Gallery are designed to go hand-in-hand with
major exhibitions (with a few exceptions each year). Detailed guidelines
and entry forms are available online. A jury of art professionals selects
the works for each show. For more information, visit the Museum
website at mmfa.org/student-artwork or contact Kaci Norman at
334.625.4363 or knorman@mmfa.org.
Students are invited to submit works that reflect upon community
involvement, the meaning of citizenship, the importance of participating
in the 2020 census, and the universal idea of “You Count.” The census
is now more important to our state than ever! When all Alabamians
respond to the census, we stand to gain several benefits, including
learning more about our state population and guaranteeing critical
representation and funding at the Federal level. Works will be on display
in the Artworks Gallery and at a downtown venue desginated by our
exhibition partner, the City of Montgomery. Submissions may include
any media including two-dimensional and three-dimensional works.
