3. OPERATION Environmental
The CP830 Manual Callpoint consists of a switch contact Operating Temperature: -25oC to +70oC
which is operated by the breaking of the glass sheet. When
Storage Temperature: -40oC to +80oC
the callpoint is addressed by the controller, it signals the
condition of this switch contact to the controller. The LED is Relative Humidity: up to 95% RH
illuminated when the switch contact is in the ‘ALARM’ (non-condensing)
condition.
The operation of the switch can be tested at any time with the Electrical Characteristics
aid of the special tool provided. This tool is inserted into the Battery requirements:
bottom of the housing thus moving the glass sheet down and
operating the switch contact. Normal: 0.46mA
Alarm: 4.5mA

The CP830 has a default factory set address of 255, this
must be set to the loop address of the device using the VOLUME 17A MX RANGE OF ADDRESSABLE
801AP MX Service Tool. The CP830 is programmed with CONTROLLERS
the address using the Programming port (see Fig. 2).
