Pre-Lesson  Introduce the topic of the lesson using the picture of a mummy to
find out what pupils know about this topic.

Lesson  Teacher plays the CD (CD1 – Track 6). 21st Century Learning skills:
Development  Pupils listen and point out the words in the vocabulary section. Communication
 Follow instructions in Teacher’s book for Vocabulary (CD1 –
Track 6).
 Ask pupils to look at the pictures.
 Show pupils the picture of the mummy again. Use this to
encourage pupils to guess the meaning of alive.
 Ask pupils to point to the bubbles and follow along as teacher
plays the CD.
 Teacher plays the CD again and ask pupils to shadow read.
