Pre-Lesson Matching Activity Formative Assessment:


 Pupils listen to the nationalities mentioned by the teacher and Quick scan
match to the corresponding flags.

Lesson  Pupils listen and reproduce the words (the countries and the
Development nationalities) mentioned by the teacher. Stress on the initial
sound of each country. [C.S. 1.1.1]

Listen and Tick 21st Century Learning skills:


 Teacher explains to pupils that they will listen to the three Thinking skills
description and they need to tick one of the three pictures
according to what they hear. Formative Assessment:
 Before playing the CD, teacher describes the situations: Peer Assessment
 Situation 1: You will listen to a conversation between Bill and
Lin.
 Situation 2: You will listen to a conversation between Mark
and Laura.
 Situation 3: You will listen to a conversation between Amy
and Steve about Daniel.
 Play the CD twice and have pupils do the activity. [M.S. 1.2.2]
 Pupils check answer in pairs first, then check as a class.

Post-Lesson Listen and choose Formative Assessment:


 Pupils listen to the word (nationalities) mentioned by the teacher Exit ticket
and select the correct flag.
