Pre-Lesson Word Salad Pre-Lesson:


 Prepare word cards for each group or pair of pupils so that each Task 12
set of word cards makes a sentence.
 Put pupils in pairs or groups of three or four. Give each group
one set of cards.
 Pupils work together to make a sentence from the word cards.
 Pupils show their mini whiteboard to tell the class for peer
checking.

Lesson  Teacher introduces the adverbs of frequency using the grammar


Development box at the top of page 9.

Listen and write


 Pupils listen to the four short dialogues and write the correct 21st Century Learning skills:
adverbs of frequency according to what the hear on their mini Thinking Skills
white board
 Play the CD twice.
 Pupils check answer in pairs first, then check as a class. [C.S

Formative Assessment:
Write about your day Self-Assessment
 Have pupils write sentences about their day in their notebooks
using cursive writing. [M.S 4.1.2]

Post-Lesson Mingling around


 Ask pupils to compare their sentences with some others in the Formative Assessment:
class (as a mingling or a large group activity). Ask the to find Peer Assessment
another pupil with the same sentences as theirs (if possible).
