Pre-Lesson Guess the equipment Formative Assessment:


• Put up pictures of playground equipment on the board. Quick scan
• Prepare flashcards with the names of the equipment, but do not
put these up on the board.
• Teacher calls six volunteers to the front of the class and match
the flashcard to the right picture.
• Teacher introduces the poem ‘At the Playground’.

Lesson • Pupils recite the poem together. 21st Century Learning skills:
Development • Pupils talk about how they feel when they are at the playground. Collaborative
