Check water quality before Boiler lit-up. Carry out blowdowns according to Start Boiler Feed Pump in recirculation mode. Keep ready stand by Feed Ensure that turbine protections and interlocks are in service. Exhaust
15 A Chemist's instructions. 15 B pumps. Start feed water dozing as per chemist's instructions. 15 C hood spray is available.

Lit the Boiler with Oil burners and check Flame status in local and DCS. Ensure that turbine drains are in open condition.
16 A 16 B

Regulate firing by taking more oil burners into service and increase boiler Start Turbine Warming/Pre-heating as per OEM instructions. In
pressure and temperature at rate recommended by OEM. Regulate SADC and warm, hot, very hot condition, warming is not required.
maintain flame stability and metal temperatures. Maintain Drum Level and
17 A 17 B
Furnace Draft.

Take Bypass system into service and continue pressure raising to achieve
18 Rolling parameters. Maintain Drum level.

Monitor water quality and act according to Chemist's instructions. Start Turbine Rooling and check Turbovisory Parameters, bearing
temperatures, etc. Friction check can be performed as per
19 A 19 B maintenance instructions.

Start PA Fans and Seal Air fans. Check the type of start-up and put turbine on Soaking as per OEM
20 A 20 B instructions.

Prepare Mills. Take mills lub oil, cooling water, sealing air into service. Roll the turbine as per OEM guidelines and achieve FSNL, i.e. 3000 Prepare Electrical System i.e. excitation, etc. for
rpm. Ensure that AOP, JOP are stopped and lub oil pressure is Synchronization.
21 A 21 B normal. Monitor Turbovisory parameters. 21 C

Synchronize Generator with Grid and achieve minimum load.
