ASSESSMENT OF THE NOTIFICATION

OCCUPATIONAL INJURIES AND
ILLNESSES OF SELECTED
ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE
AGRICULTURE, MANUFACTURING AND
CONSTRUCTION SECTORS
General Objective

• The objective of the research is to assess the


notification and reporting system of occupational
injuries and illness of the companies from
agriculture, construction and manufacturing
industry both internally and required submission
to DOLE Regional Offices.

Specific Objectives

• To know the existing practice of selected


companies referring their notification and
reporting of occupational injuries and illnesses.
• To improve the content of the reportorial
submissions to DOLE of selected companies.
• To identify the training needs of company
personnel involved in the accomplishment of
reports.

Methodology

• The research adopted a descriptive methodology


with the use of questionnaire tool.

• Monthly Report on Safety and Health Organizations,


Employer’s Work Accident/Illness Report, SHC
Minutes of the Meeting, Annual Work Accident/
Illness Exposure Data Report, Annual Medical Report
and Company Registration.

Methodology

• Conduct of focus group discussion wherein involved


companies were identified by ILO.

• Validation of the reportorial requirements
